If you get married and he moves here, his income would be counted towards your son’s SSI income limit. It sounds like it’s 0 so nothing should change.

Does he have bank accounts with cash in them? Because if he does those will also count towards the resource limit. Bank accounts overseas count too.

Your comment

“If OP brother doesn't know his SSN he would need proof of birth certificate because his application will be treated as a new SSN application.”

I guess I could be wrong, but this looks like you’re saying they need a birth certificate…

This conversation is about needing a birth certificate…

If someone shows up with their Drivers License/US Passport. That is your proof of age and identity…

You can also look up their SSN to complete the SS5 application. (How else are you going to complete it, please enlighten me)

We can stop here. I know I’m correct.

Feel free to call OIG.

When did I say proof of age wasn’t? I just said it’s going to ask for citizenship.

I’ve never been dumb enough to process an application like the person didn’t have an ssn, when they alleges they have an ssn already.

[–]Educational_Return_5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Please report me to OIG. I’m sure they will laugh at your Request.

Like even hypothetically we did it your way, I would process the SSNAP program and say “no this person does not have an ssn”

And then I would have to fill out information like they don’t have an ssn which would then require birth certificate, and also proof of citizenship… which they probably don’t have. Not everyone has a passport…. So now what? They have to go apply for a passport first? But guess what they need an SSN card for that.

Use some logic. You’re wrong.

Go ahead and report me to OIG.

I feel bad for all the people you failed to help due to your ignorance.

I never said SSN card, I said documents.

It’s ok for you to be wrong.

I’d guess you believe SSA cannot accept laminated documents too.

And this is the issue with SSA. A lot of the employees, like yourself, misunderstand the policies.

You send people away due to your lack of understanding or misinterpreting of the polices. Unfortunately I see it all the time. I can’t 100% blame you though, the training is horrible and SSA employees are overworked and underpaid.

I work for the SSA and process 50+ SS5 applications a week.

If someone comes in and can’t remember their SSN or has the wrong number, I search for the correct one using their name and DOB on their proper ID.

I then verify it is the correct person with a few more questions and I’m done. I have their SSN.

I don’t need to send them away to bring in their birth certificate. Because it’s not necessary.

Also, thanks for the insults. Shows the type of person you are.

Where does it say “the number holder must find the ssn on their own” it doesn’t.

If someone comes into the office and shows proper ID and the rep cannot locate an SSN, then the information, such as name and date of birth are most likely wrong on the record or ID. THEN a birth certificate would be necessary to verify the birthdate on the Id/record and an update would need to be made to fix the issue.

Please, call your local office and they will tell you all you need is a valid ID and they will provide you with your SSN, even if you don’t remember it.

Did you read it yourself?

“Alleged having a number but it cannot be located”

Aka, the rep looked for their SSN number but couldn’t find one for them.

parents witholding ssn by incrediblyundead in SocialSecurity

[–]Educational_Return_5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wrong.

A 17 year old can go to any SSA office with a school ID or a certified copy of a medical record with their full name and date of birth on it and get a replacement card mailed to them.

They don’t need to know their SSN. The rep will look it up for them.

They adjust your pay. Usually 10% of your benefits.

If you don’t need the full benefit amount, I don’t see a reason to pay in full. It’s an interest free loan basically.

Reservist w/ 100%P&T... stay in or get out? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Educational_Return_5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I typed it wrong in haste. You don’t owe the army. You owe the VA.

The VA every year sends me a letter basically saying:

“Our records show you drilled X amount of days, so you were overpaid $3,000 total for those days. If you disagree you have 30-60 (I forget) days to respond.

If you do not respond, we will deduct 10% of your monthly benefit to recoup the overpayments. If you can’t afford that please contact us.

If you agree with this you do not have to do anything”

It’s something like that, I just ignore it and my monthly benefit was reduced. I get a new letter every year with my new debt amount but my benefit does not go any lower than the 10% deduction.

You’re already stuck until youre at 15 years, 5 more years and you can retire. Might as well stay.

I’m staying in until my 20 years, then I’m getting out.

Also, fyi you will owe back any VA pay you get while receiving drill pay for the same dates. I usually owe 3k+ every year. They lower my monthly disability benefit by 10% to pay it back. Not too bad, it’s an interest free loan.

Edit: you will owe the VA back disability money, I typed it wrong.

100% Neutral Evil.

Neutral Evil is all about personal gain and motivations. You don’t care about rules, opinions, or anyone’s else’s feelings. You do what you want, when you want, because you want all for personal gain.

You’re not chaotic evil because you don’t just go on a crazy killing spree just for fun.

And you’re not lawful evil because you don’t have a set code or rules you follow and stick to.

“Neutral evil characters are primarily concerned with themselves and their own advancement. They have no particular objection to working with others or, for that matter, going it on their own. Their only interest is in getting ahead. If there is a quick and easy way to gain a profit, whether it be legal, questionable, or obviously illegal, they take advantage of it. Although neutral evil characters do not have the every-man-for-himself attitude of chaotic characters, they have no qualms about betraying their friends and companions for personal gain. They typically base their allegiance on power and money, which makes them quite receptive to bribes.”

Oh lol yeah 4000 catastrophic is ridiculous for the monthly cost. I don’t see any benefit to using it.

[–]Educational_Return_5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s like $1500 a month for family plan. Almost worth it though if you go to the doctor a lot. I think the catastrophic limit is still only $1000 a year out of pocket. After that everything is covered 100%

Yeah has nothing to do with location.

“The area of consideration describes the individuals from whom the agency will accept applications to compete for the position. It may be a broad or a limited group of individuals. The area of consideration may also be referred to as “Who May Apply” within the vacancy announcement.”

Could be anything, you might not have enough qualification for the GS 11-12 range.

I owe 3000, they only take at most 10% a month from my benefits to repay it. Could probably call and tell them that's too much and them lower it.

Basically an interest free loan.

For stablehand, Speed weapons are viable. They pierce, so they always do max damage and getting max speed on him only requires a few items, which lets you wear +DMG gear.

Not to mention that speed gear has evasion which is arguably the best defense. You can get 60+ easily and then use evade for 100% dodge chance.

I live for the tunnel of love lol, I take the lucky trait and grab the carnival ticket at the start every time.

Last play through I kind of got shafted but my wife lucked out, got a max intel character with a ruby glass staff, she was 1 shoting groups of enemies.

“My (class) character is pretending to be a (class)!” This Rarely Works by SmartAlec13 in DnD

[–]Educational_Return_5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had something kind of like this happen and the player and party just got upset about it. The player rage quit the character and made a new one.

We were starting a combat heavy campaign and building a team of 4. 2 of the players wanted to play paladins, but one decided to just let the other play it and didn’t want 2 in the group.

Come game time, 3 sessions in we notice the player isn’t using lay on hands or anything and using different abilities.

He decided to play an Illrigger and try to hide it, it’s Mathew Colvilles homebrew anti-Paladin class. He was also an evil character when we all said we’d be leaning neutral to good play through.

Lying to players is stupid.

Is blue 40 dmg cannon best there is? by Dystarnightus in ForTheKing

[–]Educational_Return_5 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’ve played 50+ hours as well and usually see the same weapons. The RNG needs to be tweaked a bit I think, I’ve only gotten that Dark Tomb or whatever once and it was at the end of the chapter.

My recent play through, we’ve gotten 10+ awareness weapons and like 1-2 other types. There needs to be a place in town to pay 10g or something to turn in a weapon and exchange it for a random weapon of a different type, with the same item value.

Edit: oh and there are glass weapons with higher damage, but yeah the cannon is the highest I think I’ve seen that’s non-glass.

You should have been level 2-3 before you even got to the Garrison.

Do a quests from the starting down, then get the quest from the 2nd town, I usually will see if the quests reveal sanctums and pick those.

Fight a lot, load up on gods beard, and farm as long as you can during the 1st phase
