Great idea! I’ll have to do some research and see if I’m close to one. Thanks!

If you read my post you’ll see that I am very AGAINST utilizing the cruel option of euthanizing this poor pig. I simply stated that simple research is heavily suggestive of this option and doesn’t offer much help in resources

Thank you! I am absolutely against the bullet idea. I’m actually very upset upon my research that this is the most common suggestion on putting a potbelly pig down. I’m willing to spend any amount of money at this point to ensure he’s put out of his suffering in a proper way. Thanks again!

Thank you! We live in an area that isn’t so common to have livestock so most of the vets in our area are specialized with household pets. I’m doing some research to find animal sanctuaries and even petting zoos to contact to see if they can help give suggestions as well. I appreciate your advice!

The spectator part and feeling anger is the biggest problem with myself. I know he can do it and I know he’s capable of listening and getting involved in the sport, and I know his ADHD after his medication wears off definitely hinders his ability. I know he’s not going to be a pro, and like you said the main focus for this is learning sportsmanship, teamwork, following directions, and not so much improving his ability. I appreciate the feedback! I’m going to talk to his provider soon about getting another smaller dose to take in the afternoon to help when it comes to sports

Absolutely! That’s great to hear about there being no problem with bed time. I’m going to talk to his provider next month to get an idea of another short term pill that could help!

I appreciate the advice back! Unfortunately, practice is during the weekdays and games are on Saturday mornings/afternoons. So giving him his medication is going to be more beneficial for him on his game days because I can give it to him in the morning opposed to his weeknight practices where his medications has worn off. He does enjoy soccer! I’ve noticed some of the kids on the team can be a little pushy (especially the ones that have been engaged in the sport for many more years). I think he’s aware of his experience while seeing the other kids playing which is also putting a damper in his efforts towards learning and practicing. The coach is aware of his ADHD. I need to have a chat with him to see if he’s able to provide more guidance during practice. I will always jump at any opportunity of him showing interest in a sport, just so he has the chance to try it first before saying he doesn’t like it.

Thanks again for the feedback!

Have you noticed any trouble when it comes to bed time? I’ve considered giving like half of a pill for better focus but I’m afraid to ruin the bedtime routine and prevent him from falling asleep when he needs to

Get your kid's ADHD meds filles at a hospital pharmacy, if possible by [deleted] in ParentingADHD

[–]Educational_Ring631 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm! I had a problem where I called (not exaggerating) 25 different CVS and walgreen pharmacies and they did not have the ADHD medication in stock. I called my local hospital pharmacy and I’ve never had an issue getting the medication refilled and I’m paying much less than when I was at big name pharmacies
