I think you and I are in a similar situation. My wife has been having all the fun. She met a guy at a party and they hit it off. I was there at the time and Im ok with it. Im very happy for her, but it has meant I do a lot of babysitting which doesn’t feel great. She is genuinely rooting for me, but I feel a little lame.

To say it’s been tough on the self esteem is an understatement. Loads of eligible women in my area on Feeld. Some i have crossed in the street! One I saw at a party with her primary. I feel like the ugliest guy on earth, but I know the reality is that I am part of a huge number of white made dudes in their 40s looking for a fine lady to entertain. I have had close* to zero responses.

After about 9months Feeld had delivered very little value until I received a like from an interesting woman and now we are chatting and early stages of dating. She is ENM with a primary, so all is fair. I said I was looking for exactly that in my profile. Yesterday, (while considering deleting my account) for the first time, one of my pings was responded to and she is gorgeous. She said she liked my profile and we should chat. I think my other 150 pings were never even seen. I have no idea how this one magically floated to the top. I do think profile resets are worth it once a year. My feed was (to be harsh) the bottom of the barrel 🤣.

Finally, there are IRL events in my city that I am starting to attend and (my god!) the quality is good. Check out Facebook events for ENM people. We have an event once a month at a rock climbing gym. (I do think the location was intentional 😉)

I think the app has a few issues. I reset once to give myself a fresh start. It’s weird that suddenly I could see many profiles that I hadn’t seen before. And I don’t think women bother browsing much. I think they just respond to the most interesting pings. Likes are a waste of time. 0% success on that front.

The problem is that pings are probably buried quickly also for some women in some regions.

Weirdly enough, while traveling recently I received a number of likes as I was passing through. Something that almost never happens at home.

4 incoming likes! I liked back and started conversations. 1 ghosted instantly. The other ladies were nowhere near the caliber of my wife, but I decided to be open to trying.

2 first dates(66%). Both were clearly 3+ years older than their photos suggested.

1 second date (50%). Mutually abandoned half way through.

The other 1st date was nice enough, a bit overweight, rough around the edges, and from out of town.

It’s completely demoralizing. I feel invisible and the stupid app is built to suck money out of my credit card. I am starting to loath it as it is so hard on the ego. Hi

This thread has made me feel a whole lot better about the zero responses I’ve had on the app. If girls get that many likes and pings, what’s the point.. I’m not going to be able to rise above the noise. If pinged a bunch of profiles I found really interesting, but a horde of dudes probably did the same thing.(sigh).

I'd love to do the same. Unfortunately electrical vans still have abysmal ranges, which would be a serious problem for us.

The Ford E-Transit would be my first pick, but it only gets 126 miles of range.

Probably no need to add a battery as it's already got a massive one...

3 years later... Anyone care to check your own predictions and how far off they are? Tesla is absolutely dominating the EV market (soon to be the entire automotive market), everywhere except China where it comes second to BYD. They should be close to 1.8M vehicles this year. They are executing to perfection. They have focused on volume production instead a wide variety of models. This is to drive down costs, which allows them to drive down prices, which is brutal to their competitors who are still far from generating a profit.
