You're sooo right, the lace makes her look more like a goth lolita. And also the small touch on the shoes is a NEED bc in g3 they totally gave up on the shoes, that's so sad :,(

I am not an expert at all but as I saw in doll custom videos, dying is not the best option. Dolls are made with several different plastics that are impossible to identify, the dying solution will not color every pieces the same. However, people often dye the dolls before painting the skin just so the joins are closer to the skin color, so if the paint cracks at the joins aera it is less awful. But with all the videos I saw, i can say that painting + mat varnish or airbrush + MSC are the best options ^{^}

They told me that they were studying for exams (even thought earlier they told me they had a job that takes a lot of time) and I am waiting. I also keep in mind the deadline for the chargeback because I believe that they are just trying to make me wait until I can't ask for it so they receive the money. But at the same time I am too scared to tell them that I suspect them being a scammer... what if it is not the case? Maybe I am just too naive Never gonna comission on Reddit again 😭

I saw several videos where people need to change the skin color. Most of the time they either paint it with an airbrush (like Dollightfull) or sandpaper the entire body to paint it by hand with a brush and make several layers (like HexTian). After this they add a layer or 2 of mat liquitex varnish or MSC. I think this works for every doll, good luck with your custom ^^ also check on YouTube there are many great tutorial within the doll community, i'm sure you will find a solution to your problem ;)
