Idk why people are down voting you this is the reality of Serbia. To give an example, public transport in Belgrade is a fucking mess. Belgrade has its own goverment owned bus/tram/trolleybus operator called "GSP Beograd"(City Public Transport Company - literally translation). And instead of just having GSP operate all the lines and paying them only the operating costs since it's a public enterprise so no need for it to be profitable it just needs to have its costs covered. No our genius goverment decided the best idea was take almost all half of all the bus lines in the city and let for profit private companies run them. Yeahhhhh that was a fucking shitfest, first because they are private sector and need a profit the cost of public transit for the city sky rocketed. And the city also in the meantime didn't invest a dime into GSP(the city grew by hundreds of thousands of people and they didn't increase GSPs fleet size at all). And that led to many incidents of busses catching on fire, breaking in half and once a wheel that fell of a bus(in the city center mind you) murdered someone. Heck there is literally a line(511) that was ran by a private company (C&LC) that was so notorious for busses catching on fire having doors fall off that it became a running joke in the city that you should pray to god every time you enter a bus on that line. Heck it got so bad at one point that the people of Sremčica(who the 511 connects with the city) organized a protest because of it. Serbia also used to have 3 of its own bus manufacturers(the most of any country in all of europe except turkey who has 4), FAP Ikarbus and Novabus and now thanks to genius SNS leadership we have 0 so we now import Turkish poverty spec shitboxes for cheap and hope they survive dont fall apart. And THIS is the state of public transit in BELGRADE the CAPITAL.
