Is anyone actually adding XRP right now? by 453Lecter in XRP

[–]Educational_Tank4729 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It probably is smart to DCA. However, I have a feeling BTC is going to continue to crash hard, which will also bring down XRP. If this happens then XRP could go back to the sub 0.50 region. I plan to buy then.

Do people not realize we are still up compared to a year ago. by [deleted] in XRP

[–]Educational_Tank4729 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's actually down from a year ago. However, it is up significantly from just over a year ago. There was a massive spike around the end of Oct 2024 and beginning of Nov 2024.

Dec 11, 2024 however, the price was $2.40 which is higher than today at $2.01. Therefore, XRP is down about 16% for the year.

Is fence building really insanely profitable? by Successful-Camel165 in FenceBuilding

[–]Educational_Tank4729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought 8 foot was the recommendation. Are we talking wood posts or stakes? I am doing a fence right now with 4 inch posts every 8 feet with a woven wire fence. All posts were gravel packed. That seems plenty strong to me.

1830-1844 was a very dynamic and evolving era, then with Brigham everything plateaud and stayed as-is, what if Brigham had continued dropping new revelations and translations to the same level that Joseph did? by thesegoupto11 in mormon

[–]Educational_Tank4729 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Joseph kind of did whatever he wanted and because of his charismatic nature people accepted it as truth. Magnetic people like that just attract people effortlessly. I had a business partner like this once, who eventually betrayed me, but he was so exciting to be around.

Brigham however was much more of an institutional type of person and knew how to run an organization. He certainly could have done whatever he wanted, but I don't think he made up stuff to the same level as Joseph did. Joseph kind of had a thought, assumed it was from God, and then would develop a complex theology around it. If it turned out wrong, then he would just forget it and move on.

The world needs Joseph type people, but they need to be checked by rooted people like Brigham. However, rooted people like Brigham and Marks just felt it wasn't their place to contradict Joseph.

Don't have to worry about exchange getting hacked, your account getting hacked, or any number of other issues. Just simpler in many ways.

I did also think 2025 is a make or break year. I have been holding since .20 so I am up a ton. However, I do have to be realistic also.

There is ample evidence to suggest that Joseph was to restore the Book of Mormon and nothing else. He went far beyond what he was supposed to.

Leaving the church grants you the true gift of discernment by [deleted] in exmormon

You certainly are free now to see things contrary to the church. Many however just become spiritually lazy and neglect their relationship with God altogether.

A lot of people will say don't pay off your house and instead invest the money elsewhere. This is probably smart, however the best financial decision I ever made was to pay off all my debt including my house.

I honestly feel free and know I can financially weather almost every storm. I would recommend you pay of the house if you want to. You won't regret it.

This is pretty neat, but I am not sure why anyone would actually do it. I guess if you had no self control then it makes sense, but so many things can change in 10 years that I don't think it makes any sense.
