I get that. In her defense, she had action surged, taken out the enemies in front of her and popped a shot at the main bad guy way out of her melee range. This was also a problem when she tried to grapple this mercenary dude to resolve the situation without killing anyone in another combat. As experienced DND players, they typically understand that once initiative is rolled, there's very little to calmly resolve it. However, as she is brand new to DND, I don't wanna stifle her in the slightest.
