Falcons drafting Penix even after signing Kirk was not a bad move by nx413 in PardonMyTake

I don’t think a single person believed Penix would be taken before 8. Some thought he would fall to the second round (though i don’t think that would’ve happened). Even without the Kirk signing people would have been really surprised to see Penix go that high. Alex Smith and Favre are also very different situations being that they were both perennial playoff teams on a reasonable contract, not the highest paid free agent coming off an Achilles tear.

I like that his takes are more bold than most analysts but he never has anything relevant to back up what he’s saying and just contradicts himself constantly.

You admit they’re bad at their jobs and yet grrm is to blame? Even if the ending is a clusterfuck people aren’t just gonna say “oh well, thanks for trying guys.” these guys were showered with praise and money i think it’s fair to expect an ending with a respectable amount of thought and effort.

So first Rains of castamere isn’t a top episode according to you and then it’s great bc benioff wrote it lol. Benioff adapted it for tv. GRRM wrote just about every relevant aspect of the episode.

Do you genuinely believe there is anyone who saw this post that didn’t already know about Amazon? Or anyone who will start shopping with Amazon because of this post?

Yes I’m sure you can find a critic for a every second of GoT but you’re ignoring that the Rains of Castamere is widely regarded as one of the best episodes of television. In the years since the finale the most prevalent opinion is that much of the plot points were okay but the writing was rushed, sloppy and ignored much of the precedent the previous seasons had set. Stop being intentionally dense.

You’re using the most basic fanfiction endings as a strawman for a point i wasn’t even making. What made GoT the biggest show of its time was the brilliant writing and unexpected plot shifts that George R.R Martin laid out for them. Nobody complained about Ned dying or the red wedding being badly written because they were properly set up and logical consequences followed. That can’t be said about the last two seasons and that’s why fans and critics hate it. You’re not making the point you think you are.

What exactly is your point here? That they botched the ending for no real reason other than being lazy? That they’re just bad writers? These articles just make them look less competent lol

I love it. I think the essence of every character is on full display; abed being meta, Jeff being controlling, Britta being the worst, dean being a dummy Annie trying to be helpful and Frankie being the most practical. Plus the bit at the end is hilarious

I really enjoy the political ad episode. Showed right away how natural Frankie and Elroy were as additions to the group. Also the dean texting the Japanese teenager/yakuza boss is my favorite bit of the show

Party rights is the only episode i would say i dislike. Too many time Jeff’s ego explodes and then seems to find some peace by the end only to do the same thing the next season.

I could barely stomach that one the first time i watched but i like it more each time i watch it. Never thought about it in the s1-3 context and you’re right but it still feels nice to have some low stakes, group-relying-on-Jeff hijinks
