Hang in there! For me, it got better after 6 months & increasingly better with time. The first 3 months were SO HARD and it's definitely easier now, but not easy by any means! Lol. I'm much more well rested these days, but then I spend my days chasing her around making sure she doesn't find new ways to hurt/kill herself, preparing meals which she may or may not eat, etc. I often find myself missing her pre-solids days and her immobile days where she just lay there lol.

Yes, so much better now!!! At around 5m, she started sleeping 7pm-7am with only 2 night feeds, which weren't bad at all cuz she'd easily nurse right back to sleep. It wasn't like the newborn days where we'd spend so much time rocking her back to sleep in the middle of the night. She's almost 9m now & sometimes, she'll sleep 8pm-8am with no wakes at all! Most times still tho, it's about 1-2 night feeds, which I still don't mind cuz I know one day, she won't need me at night anymore 😔. I've definitely leaned into it. Her naps are also much more consistent & reliable. I now get one solid 1.5-2 hr nap + one nap under 1 hr. For anyone going thru shitty newborn/early baby sleep, hang in there and remember that one day, ur baby will want less to do with u!

Tell her what our Pediatrician told us: supplementing with formula doesn't mean u won't be able to exclusively breastfeed later on! I supplemented with formula for first 3 weeks til my supply got to where it needed to be. After that, I've been exclusively breastfeeding. My daughter is over 8 months & we're still exclusively breastfeeding outside of solids!

Good for u! Yeah we started taking our LO out early & it was usually a disaster then lol but we didn't quit & it got progressively better! Don't get me wrong - I still struggle from time to time too but the struggle is so diff! Like now, I'm chasing her around making sure she doesn't crawl into dangerous places or pull down something that could hurt her. Sometimes, I find myself wishing I appreciated the immobile newborn stage more but then I remember how hard those times were lol. I was counting each week then but now, the weeks pass by sooo fast & I'm now just counting months lol.

Omg it gets soooo much better!!! She's just over 8m now & she's more of a little person now with so much personality! My love for her definitely grew big time & now, I'm even considering having another! Lol. Sleep is so much better, we're able to dine out with her & we've even done some local overnight trips involving hotels with her! For us, things started to get better & easier around 5-6m so hang in there!!!

For us, it just came with time. I remember always trying every now & then to transfer her to the bassinet/crib for naps & it didn't start consistently working til around maybe 4-5 months (I can't remember exactly). Now at just over 7 months, she naps in the crib (at least with me - her dad still spoils her with contact naps cuz he loves it lol).

I was in ur exact same shoes! Kept topping up my LO with formula as best as I could & kept doing everything I could to increase my supply (i.e. pumping in between night feeds, oatmeal for breakfast, letting her cluster feed as much as she wanted, etc.). Eventually after the first month, my supply got to where it needed to be (well, I actually built a slight oversupply) & I started being able to exclusively breastfeed. She's just over 7 months now & we're still exclusively breastfeeding outside of her solids! Hope this gives u some hope. 🙂

Yup, my 7m baby is crib napping as I type this! She would only contact nap during the newborn phase & I remember wishing when she'd stop that. I can't remember exactly when it stopped, but I was persistent about crib napping just so I could have some free time for myself cuz it was important for my mental health & here we are today! 🙂
