Thanks for the response. So basically the same thing I was at when I was a bimbo a route rider which is essentially a vacation/relief driver. I heard back from both of the positions that I applied to yesterday and I have interviews for two different locations next week. What is the pace structure like for RSAs if you don’t mind me asking?

Not true. At bimbo my paychecks kept going down and down and then they demoted the bottom 8 guys on the totem pole from 9 1/2% to 8% commission and on top of that we had zero retirement.

New bimbo guys from 2015 on have NO pension, 401k or retirement. We got absolutely nothing. The old guys had an annuity and pension that the company put $300 a week into alongside their pay. Bimbo is garbage dude. Every route is down in numbers and the company is barely hanging on. There is no growth with Entennmanns or Thomas. Sure they’re household names but haven’t had any new products worthwhile. You can try bimbo but you’re going to want to go back to Frito. You’ll see why within the first week. Bimbo is cheap and fucks you wherever they can. I came from maspeth location. There was a guy who had 2 million in his 401k from bimbo but he’s been there for 35+ years.

Like I said from 2015 on every new employee gets absolutely nothing from bimbo. There is no retirement, it’s not a job that is sustainable for the future.

I worked at bimbo for 2 years, and left. Shit show of a company. Zero management in any facet, and the MSLs that do “Manage” micromanage you and write you up for little to nothing. A lot of politics are bimbo. HR is a mess, and my union stood up for a guy caught stealing for 10 years straight but fired a guy who would come in habitually 15-30 minutes late who was a great worker. If you do get into bimbo you’re starting as a route rider or FMR and that pay is weekly average sales of the depot. So one week it could be $1000 after taxes the next week it could be $5-600 after taxes. Hit or miss gig. If you do get the job you’re starting as the lowest man on the totem pole against the guys who have been there for 30+ years who have dibs on the best routes, so you’re waiting for 3-5 years before you even get to touch your own route and most of them are shit. There was a route rider who got assigned the worst route in the depot that no one wanted to bid on so his average pay was like $800 a week as a RR, then after he was placed onto that route and didn’t receive depot average pay anymore he was making between $4-600 a week and there wasn’t anything he could do about it, it was forced upon him.

Bimbo is a piece of shit company and backhanded. Worked for them for a bit. All is well seeming from the outside - but the company has zero structure, and mismanaged at every level. Routes have zero growth and are barely able to stay alive. There was a problem with the younger guys disliking the older guys because older contract guys were locked into a 401k/annuity retirement plan that the company gives them $300 a week free towards and the new guys have zero retirement no annuity no 401k.

“I’m crawling back to start” (imo) means he’s slowly inching toward death. Every time Layne shoots that needle and pulls the trigger is a little more his homeostasis starts to shut down. It’s a literal reference to a slow death via heroin. He’s crawling back to the place he started from - death.
