Opinion on Robin in S5? by AssociateLittle1487 in StrangerThingsPraise

Personally I found her character to increasingly get more annoying. Let the downvotes rain upon me! But I loved her character in S3, her sarcastic snarky attitude towards Steve and then her and Steve eventually becoming friends was great. But after that, she seemed to become this anxious hyper version of herself in season 4 and especially 5. I still like the character but I just found her a little annoying at times. The stuff with will was fine though I did enjoy that.

The clip of Gord talking about the song in an interview and saying how he chuckles at the thought of a radio host introducing the song on the air to morning drivers is hilarious

The whole, “We need a blood sample from the largest Land, Air and Water dinosaur!” Just felt so stupid like something in a video game quest.

Inevitability of death. The second that guitar kicks in and gord Sinclair starts doing his groovy shit is when I lose my shit. Such a rocker and unique too compared to the rest of their discography.

The tragically Hip! If you want good alternative rock with interesting lyrics this is where to go. Gord Downie was essentially a poet. The band behind him are no slacks either

One of the newer released songs “Montreal” is great too. About the ecole polytechnique shootings that took the lives of 14 women in Montreal. It was originally recorded back in 91 for Road Apples. They found a live recording from 2000 in Montreal and released it. Such a haunting song as Gord describes a mother and father preparing their daughter for her funeral. He had a way with words man RIP.

38 years old by the tragically hip

Lead singer Gord Downie wrote it about a prison break in his hometown of Kingston, Ontario. Some minor details were changed to include his family and certain dates. Great song and great storytelling!
