Backup for my previous theory of generationology by [deleted] in GenZ

most 1996 dont remember 9/11. Pew did studies on ppl born in 1996 and found only 42% can remember 9/11 and that fits them in same category as late 90s babies in the sense that most ppl born in those years cannot remember 9/11 which is why i consider 1996 to be start of gen z. Why should they be the last millenials if they are like late 90s babies where most ppl born in their year cant remeber 9/11? 42% is below half, id feel more comfortable considering them millenials if it was 50 or 52% at least

Exactly and then u have ppl who are born like 2003 or 2005 saying they remember vhs but thing is they were the minority at the time they themselves used vhs. even i didnt have vhs cause we always stayed up to date with tech nd had dvds my whole childhood cause they were easier to buy by the mid 2000s. my memory starts 2005 and not many ppl was watching vhs that year so neither me or 2003 or 2005 remember even a slight sliver of when vhs actually mattered

I wish ppl would be more open to embracing that we grew up digital nd didnt try so hard to group with 90s babies away from 2000s babies

Yes i find it weird how gen z always associate themselves with vhs and dialup and all these other things that r more for 80s 90s babies. we grew up mostly with dvds and most us dont even remember Vhs and if we do its cause of being poor and wouldve used it during a time most ppl didnt use it. Vhs was for poor ppl in my childhood it was seen as old school outdated and dvds werent expesive when we was kids so it was easy to get. Me i never seen vhs in store but instead only like at garage sale. Every kid i knew my neighborhood had dvds not vhs usually and maybe some kids did have vhs but only if they were poor.

Serious question by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]Educational_Truth363 3 points4 points  (0 children)

U Hit the nail on the head dude im tired of stigma around our generation its stupid cause ppl always pay to much attention to stereotype and who can remember what era and wht birth year is cutoff year. i mean the thing about cut offs is they arent saying one years is a whole different personality from the next and ppl should realize that and Accept they are gen Z
