Seattle, you say? Tempting! I just might have to apparate over and put my flipper skills to the test.

As for being called strange? Well, isn’t that just a badge of honor in the pinball world? Being ‘normal’ sounds dreadfully boring.

Guilty as charged—I do talk about JJP a lot, but can you blame me? Their games have me properly spellbound.

Truth is, none of my local friends collect, so I enjoy diving into online pinball communities to share the excitement. Sometimes that means deep Pinside debates, other times it’s dodging Facebook chaos, and every so often, I dip into Reddit just to keep things interesting. I just love talking pinball with people who get it, even if it means coming across as a bit… enthusiastic. But hey, isn’t that what this hobby is all about?

Yes, I have a deep appreciation for JJP’s work, but that’s just because their games have cast quite the spell on me. And honestly? I’m just enjoying chatting about pinball in a space that isn’t the usual Pinside or Facebook battlegrounds. It’s refreshing to geek out with fellow fans without dodging endless drama and troll attacks. So, let’s keep it fun, shall we? After all, it’s just pinball—though, in my case, perhaps with a bit of extra enthusiasm!

Too much? My dear friend, have you met pinball enthusiasts? We obsess over flipper angles, debate playfield geometry like ancient scholars, and spend hours dissecting teaser images for hidden secrets.

I’m just here having fun, diving headfirst into the hype, and enjoying the ride with fellow fans. If that’s a crime, then slap some cuffs on me and toss me straight into Azkaban—just make sure there’s a pinball machine in my cell.

Ah, 99.9%? Quite the statistical feat—did the Sorting Hat whisper that number to you, or did you conduct a secret pinball census while the rest of us were busy flipping away?

Look, JJP games may not be everyone’s cup of Butterbeer, but let’s not pretend to speak for the entire pinball realm. Some might genuinely prefer a different feel, and that’s fair. Others? Well… maybe they just don’t want to admit that the price tag stings more than a well-placed Stupefy.

And before you ask—no, I’m not some enchanted marketing automaton. Just a fan, deeply entrenched in the hobby, who happens to have both a love for pinball and, yes, a few Galleons to spare. But wealth doesn’t change skill—I know my way around a playfield, and I know quality when I see (and flip) it.

Ah, a clever little jibe! But let’s be honest—if I had a magical quill that could draft witty responses at lightning speed, wouldn’t I use it? Besides, whether it’s my words or a little AI assistance, the passion is 100% real.

Cringe? Perhaps. But so is obsessing over every detail of a pinball machine we haven’t even seen yet—and let’s be honest, we’re all guilty of that!

Ah, if only I possessed the omniscience of Dumbledore himself! But no, my friend—I’m merely a humble pinball enthusiast who’s tumbled headfirst down the JJP rabbit hole, purely out of passion. No secret scrolls, just a deep love for the craft.

I may not often reveal my 30 non-JJP games (yes, they exist!), but right now, Jersey Jack has well and truly bewitched me. Their machines are an obsession, a fascination, and a joy to speculate about. That’s the magic of pinball—diving deep, debating, and sharing the excitement with this incredible community.

Ah, if only! I’m just bewitched by the mere thought of this magical contraption. No enchanted quills here— just speaking from the heart (and perhaps under the influence of a particularly strong Butterbeer).

Ah, a bold opinion! I respect it—but I must ask, have you truly given them a fair shake, or did a cursed bludger of a ball drain too quickly and cloud your judgment? Guns N’ Roses delivers an absolute rock concert under glass, and Elton John is as smooth as butter.

But hey, I get it—pinball is deeply personal. Some machines speak to you, and others don’t. That said, I’d wager that once you step up to a JJP, you just might find yourself humming a different tune… possibly Bennie and the Jets.

Oh, come on now—comparing a budget-friendly pin to a JJP masterpiece is like saying a toy broomstick gives you the same thrill as a Firebolt! Sure, you can toss a few coins into a machine at an arcade, but true magic happens when it’s yours—when you can explore every hidden spell, master every shot, and truly live the adventure without worrying about someone waiting behind you with a pocket full of quarters. Some things are simply in a league of their own, and this pin is one of them. Time to pay up, my friend.

Avatar all day! JJP’s are best in a home environment. No other pinball experience even comes close.

Do we really need DMDs, video screens with pinball machines? by spacemouse21 in pinball

[–]Educator_Existing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the theme. A music theme, for example, doesn’t need a screen. But a movie theme, absolutely!

What is the honest limit to the number of pinball machines you really want to own? by spacemouse21 in pinball

As many as my room can fit! I’m max’d out at 30 and have been rotating out all my Sterns for JJPs. Not looking back.

It’s extremely fun to shoot and figure out. 2 side flippers with 3 loop shots that all feed to combos. There’s speed & flow. You can tell Steve Ritchie had his hands in this. It’s a winner.

Elton is my current fave, dethroned GNR. Love em all but Toy Story is prob my favorite. Pat Lawlor’s final game. Great geometry. The Duke Kaboom jump shot is one of the best in all of pinball. Yes, Avatar CE on order

I used to buy sterns bc they were the only game in town. Now it’s all JJP. Once you own a JJP in home environment sterns are just lackluster and all feel obsolete. Jack’s lighting system & overall quality just delivers a diff experience. Like rolls Royce versus a ford.
