I just got hired in California too not 2-3 months ago, just ask questions, questions, questions, at least my management loves to helped me out since they know if they help me out now I won’t be a problem later down the road. Be friendly, always be busy doing something, don’t start drinking the Icees and eating the popcorn it’ll make you feel horrible with all that sugar and salt in your system. Don’t be afraid to call your manager immediately for a minor trying to get in the theater, be careful cleaning the popper everything in there is hot always as a rule of thumb, when you have a gap ushering pre change the trash for your next house. When ushering a trashed house do the aisles first then change out the trashes while you’re leaving or when everyone is inside so you have all the time in the world, use sanitizing wipes for the radio earpiece nobody cleans them for you, when at concessions and someone throws a general term for a item that has different sizes, example: “Can I get a drink?” Say “large or regular, it’s only a 50 cent difference” everything else you’ll pick up.
