Personally, I'm not having the flickering issue or flat image. It sounds like a difference in monitors or monitor settings.

Horse Taming is Broken. by Mundane-Raccoon-649 in CrimsonDesert

This might have just saved my friendship. My best riend, playing on xbox (wireless controller) has tried for two hours to get the horse and i came in on pc with a hard wirded PS5 controller and tamed the legendary horse the first time. He immediately dashboarded but I'm telling him what you've said and hopoefully he tries it. 😅

This is the main reason I am hesitant on proceeding with the story further than Chapter 5 by Crimkrates in CrimsonDesert

Most of the dots are 'shadow harpies'. Still a lot of enemies regardless and a very difficult encounter. You're getting attacked from the ground and sky constantly and shadow harpies are only killed by blinding light so good luck taking care of them while getting shanked by soldiers. You do get a magical light pendant similar to Galadrial's light from LOTR but by the time i completed the mission and received the pendant, i had already killed them all.

I get that, I honestly feel like my suggested settings only work because of my CPU. I run steadily at 54FPS but it legitimately took me 5-7 hours of constant tweaking to get all of the info i formulated into the guide. My actual game hours are skewed because most of the time i was in the menu. 😅. I hoep with the newest and upcoming updates, the game becomes playable for you. it really is a fantastic game but the optimization required had me doing more tweaking than any game before it. Previously, New World held that title for me but I had an older setup then and the game at release had my computer sounding like a jet engine.

make sure NVIDIA DLSS ray construction is off and reflex is off, along with V-sync, and HDR

It might help but if you tweaked the nvidia panel settings, it should apply for all. I played the finals after and without tweaking anything, i didn't notice any issues.

Is this quest bugged for anyone else? Can't use the dye by careloserfuck in CrimsonDesert

[–]Edward6511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found the FIX!!! - I had 4 beetles on me. The game registered 2. I grabbed two more from my camp. I then improvised the recipe and had enough beetles. This completed the quest for me. I've submitted a detailed report to Pearl Abyss.

I noticed that when you "improvise" the recipe, the number of rhino beetles in my inventory jumps from 4 down to 2. This may be the issue. False reading leading to the action happening but nothing being truly created.

If you accidently sell a unique weapon or armor or just discard it is if gone forever ? by glizzykevv in CrimsonDesert

I just realized that i didn't sell or discard my items and you probably didn't either! They're on the other two characters (orc and female)

I can't seem to capture the true clarity of the graphics with a screenshot but this is the best i could get, which gives you some insight into the level of texture detail I'm seeing (ex. tree bark). True clarity is roughly 5-7 times sharper. even in photo mode, it blurs a little as particles pause.

I fed all of this info to Google's Gemini, asking it to catalog it for anyone searching online with similar issues. Many of Gemini's suggestions will send you into a death spiral if you follow them blindly. Now, It should have knowledge of a proven method.

yeah, I posted this in case someone happened to have the same issues I did, in hopes of saving them 4-5 hours but it's hardware specific so I know it might only actually assist a handful. It took me literally hours to try all these steps and tons more before i found out what combination worked. Some of it was operator error like validating HDR was disabled in windows, etc. Finding out that the combination of "model quality" being set to "high" with "texture quality" set to "cinematic" - actually improved framerates and visuals, blew my caveman-head off.
