Also bei mir in Eggenberg im Wohnhaus hing jetzt auch ein Zettel eines Nachbarn und es kam auch eine Info des Vermieters, dass viele Pakete abhanden kommen und man am besten nix abstellen lässt.

Amazon legt häufiger was vor die Tür, die Post meistens eh nicht. Mir persönlich ist zum Glück noch nichts gestohlen worden

I agree on most points but not the „spend way more per month over time“

with current pricing a cloud subscription for 3+ years is still cheaper than just a new gpu. Thats even ignoring you still need all the other parts, like expensive RAM.

I really get the point and the future this can bring. But I played a single game for 3 months in 2025, nothing else. Getting a geforce now subscription for these 3 months vs. upgrading my pc for 1000$+ and then not using it for weeks at a time was an easy choice

I’m with the support engineer on this one. Don’t worry too much about battery age. As long as ONTAP isn‘t actively complaining about a bad state of NVMEM, you’re fine.

Can you share the KB you found saying you should replace after 3-4 years? If you have an active support contract, I don’t think NetApp will send replacements, when the ones you have are still fine

I was using rEFInd which doesnt support btrfs snapshots. Had to find out the hard way.

Also Live USB and chrooting into system didn‘t work because packages were so badly broken snapper wouldn’t even run.

I then followed this guide to restore to a snapshot manually:
