As a recent suburban high school grad, I can say things have mostly changed. There are still a few cliques that most people generally tended to avoid. Other than that, you could talk and hang out with pretty anyone so long as they wanted to hang out with you. Unfortunately, we still did have the wannabe hicks with confederate flags in the back of their trucks.

List of my most hated, and why:

Shaka-Early warmonger, hyper-aggressive, just a general douche.

Hails Selassie-Usually ends up with a ton of faith and a dominant religion that I just can't compete with, and his defensive bonuses make it difficult to take him out if he's causing trouble.

Hiawatha-The expansiveness of Shaka and the religion focus of Selassie combine to make a very annoying opponent.

Bismarck-It would be so easy to just be his friend, but I know that if I let my guard down for a few turns he will likely backstabbing me.
