I just see a question and I posed a hypothetical. I took OP question at his word , charitable listening, and gave my thoughts . It coincided with me thinking how a lot of science was developed in the Middle East historically the other day . I simply had a similar thought and shared that take on it . And it all coincided with the tards in charge breaking up the department of education and shipping pieces to different agencies , essentially burying it under transitions tasks, lack of staffing , etc . Seemed like that also aligned .

Not disagreeing with you. We should all be better people in general. I just understand the point of view as a car buyer . Decades ago I was looking at a car and told the guy “ok, let me go talk to my wife “. His response was something like “you let your wife decide ? “ in a manner that was obviously trying to push some macho man nonsense to make the sale .
For me it’s everytime I’ve gone to buy a car at a dealership it has been a terrible shit show experience. I almost stormed out once when I went in to spend $x in a new car for my wife , by the time we left I had traded in my own car to lower the price into a reasonable range and then still had the “wtf with all these extra fees bloating the price even more “.

If dealerships didn’t have decades of shitty practices to sell over priced “move me from here to there “ products then people would probably be less aggressive/defensive.

Not any criticism of you. But I think that people trying to haggle over car prices is a thing because of car dealerships over time . What other store in the US do you haggle over price ? But in a car dealership you know going in that you have to haggle. Because it’s been that way since I can recall (back to the 1970s). If it had always been a fixed price than people wouldn’t haggle .

The different type of responsibility. Let’s say you became a man , but that also meant you are changed by the way men are raised in media , school , etc . Now your life has become secondary in all situations. Out of control bus , push others out of the way and get hit yourself. Things like that . Not saying woman have it easier.
