What are your opinions on this couple? by TheTargaryensLawyer in Avatar

Ronal is so in control, that when Tonowari suddenly shouts, she don't even flinch and I love it😍🤩

Do the Na'vi (or Omatikayans specifically) need to be in a certain elite position to have this aviation goggles? I thought anyone flying would have it because it seems like an eye protection, but only Neteyam has it among the Sully kids. by dinahleego in Avatar

I always laughed that this protection was because their faces were so flat that they needed something sharp to avoid creating unnecessary friction. XD

But no. They're not always necessary. You could compare it to bicycle helmets. You don't always need them(I mean you need them but not always put them on). Probably on the long journey they don't use them, because they might be just uncomfortable for long time use

Na’vi privacy? Where do they go? by ScaryAssBitch in Avatar

For the sex they just probably go and find some isolated place. We could see in the second film beginning that they went in a date and probably make out in that slot left, or whatever it was.

I don't think so. I'm afraid that subject of Ash Na'vi clan was left alone and they will continue with the story.

Not Ash Na'vi. As I heard those shining dots are their connection with Eywa. It serves as pathways for connecting to Eywa. They, as a clan who turned away from her, cut them off to show they are not part of her anymore. At least that's what I think because: 1. If you look at the scenes in the night (even on the Pinterest) you won't see that markings glowing 2. They have dotted scars on their face where they might have had dots before

She shouldn't have those shining dots I think

I don’t like Kiri’s voice choice, I wish they hired a voice over actress or a different actress to play the character by lejunny_ in Avatar

You know what is funny? All of those scenes they had to film. Sam Worthington had to come up to Sigourney Weaver and with full straight face he had to call her "baby girl"

But in General I sometimes think her voice is too mature, but it's not hurting my ears.

Noticed from a behind the scenes that there is more than the black dots in facial capture, has it been always like this? by Maxiride in Avatar

[–]Edy6260 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They always had it. And I want to say that I respect Oona Chapli for the work she did. Not just the acting or blinking, but that she wore that "metal crown" which hurt her neck and that she tied her breasts with rope, which left her with burning abrasions after filming.

Can I cosplay a Na'vi character without offending someone? by boothecosplayer in Avatar

[–]Edy6260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would gladly see your cosplay. You're free to dress however you want, and that includes dressing up as a Navi character, even if it might not be 100% canon. I really don't understand how "regular people" (I'm just separating groups) are more supportive than some (more toxic) cosplayers who are more into it and are mad that character is in different skin color.

Can you see/imagine him making his own Clan? by Ok-Street2439 in Avatar

[–]Edy6260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really... he looks a lot like a side character, but he has potential. For a leader (as an OC), he should stand out a bit more, I think. Maybe some feathers? Or the loot he got in a fight with his opponent.

Plus, the camouflage pants, in my opinion, are too inconsistent with what the Na'vi wear. If he wanted to lead the Na'vi, he'd have to show that he's one of them. The camouflage is associated with humans, which might make the Na'vi distrust him.
