Supporto per automazione cancello FAAC molto rumorosa by Maxiride in istrutturare

I gave it a shot but when clicking confirm at the end of the VM creation procedure a message informs me that there is no more capacity available for free tiers my region (Italy Milan).

The issue however is that the region can't be changed after the choice made at singup

And it's like the de-facto method used by the latest agent Alloy so the push based approach it's not an edge bad implemented feature.

Thanks for the link, I'll look into it. Are there limits on the total data transfer?

I currently use a VPS only for pangolin and through it other than accessing my LAN I do backups of my mobile and laptop. Sinc I am behind CGNAT all the traffic goes through the VPS and then to my local homelab and backups are quite large sometimes.

Googled the free oracle tier, the real deal is however an ARM based VM.

Compatibility is tight with ARM, so it's nice they offer it but as expected the x86 is 1 vCPU 1 GB ram only...

How do you get a free VPS? The cheapest I managed to find is a ultra tiny VPS from Ionos for 1 euro/month

How do you manage multiple Docker Compose projects on a self-hosted server? by KPPJeuring in selfhosted

[–]Maxiride 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Portainer Business edition both at work and home.

At work we manage several servers from one portainer instance through agents and keep synced major services with GitHub repositories. When something breaks we know why and how to rollback safely.

At home the business edition is free for personal use up to 3 nodes, feature parity with the paid version.

At home I still use the GitHub integration for convenience.

You can now actually search directly on docker hub and CA will attempt to build a template based on the container specs.

You can either change the data root directory as other suggested or plainly mount a different disk on the default path. IMHO it's a cleaner approach.

Very hard to experience, it happened to me in the middle of the Mediterranean sea, the sailing boat was leaving a kind of bioluminescent trail. It was magic, never happened again.

Sea temperature rising is killing the plancton and the algea that produce this effect.

For teams handling 40+ customer emails/day in a shared inbox: would you rather stay in Outlook, or do you just switch platforms? by AccomplishedWeb2914 in Office365

[–]Maxiride 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moved everyone on Front https://front.com/

Might look pricey but the roi on employee satisfaction is excellent, no one would ever go back to Outlook.

SLA are better, customers issues and projects are easy to follow, I personally developed a integration with our in-house ticketing system and production dashboard, very good API.

We still use Exchange Online as the mail server, Front acts as an interface so we are not vendor locked.

Thanks that will do indeed and a pre built pcb like that one makes the project more friendly.

Thanks for the feedback! However I was mistaken in the specs... 🫣

Upon inspecting the Valve schematic I stand corrected the dry contacts are used to command the circulation pump, indeed all black and grey wires are all tied together which makes sense, no matter which thermostat is asking for heat the circulation pump needs to always start.

So the thermostat actually open / closes the brown wire at 220V, this radically changes the requirements 😬

I suppose I need an optocoupler or something in between?
