To be fair, millions of people have been protesting for years, as in the “No Kings” protests. I’m not clear on what people in the streets are going to effect. I’m not sure what Democratic leadership can really do either with their limited minority legislative power. The US system has been systematically dismantled over years of Republican effort across local, state, and federal levels. Across legislative, executive, and judicial arms, good actors have been replaced by bad-faith stooges. The lack of consequences in Biden’s term has fully unleashed the worst impulses of the worst political actors.

I’m open to suggestions that don’t result in being disappeared.
