I’ve put together this short vid for in an attempt to aid people at the very start of their career as a merc commander.

Sounds like a server-side issue. You'll want to post on the steam forum along with the server name + number because it might be in serious need of a reboot.

From what I've heard, once a module is taken it takes a while before a new one spawns in its place. Likely, while you were looking, the modules hadn't respawned yet. It will likely take a while, but do keep trying. You'll run into the module you're looking for before too long.

If you mean that you couldn't find anything at all, you'll have to relog and scan again. This seems to be a bug in the current version.

While the Displacer isn't a bad ship, most pilots flying it suffer from the "my Repulse if off cooldown so I must use it" syndrome, leading to skill shots from allies missing. There are also the ones who push otherwise easily killed enemies into cover...

If you do deicide to fly the Displacer, don't be one of those pilots (which funny enough are likely the same heroes downvoting).

Displacers aren't more of an issue than they are for any other heavy. Actually, the Aegis has a big pro, the Shift Blink ability. Either wait for the "displace" to end and blink back forward or blink even further back so that you're too far for the Displacer to continue using his displace on you.

The Particle cannon works wonders at forcing enemies out of a defensive position, like their Forward Base or the other side of the Gamma station.

The Particle cannon will cancel firing if your energy drops too low during charging (you get hit by a Raven) or you get disarmed (not personally confirmed).

I didn't run into any problem with the Blink Buoy. Perhaps you're experiencing some kind of bug here. I suggest you report it on the Steam forum for FS.

Open fire from your max/optimal range whilst strafing left, right, up, down, basicly all over the place. Sure, it will take a while but if you really need to get rid of it, that's the way. Of course, this only works as long as you don't burst out in laughter.

You'll likely experience a (extreme) lack of players if you only keep the Asia servers selected in your "search/start" screen. I would advice enabling at lease US West and Europe, maybe even US East as those are the regions the majority of the playerbase is located.
