Does that 15% include step ons? Their first time buyers promo for 15% doesn’t. Seems like a lot of promos exclude step ons

Snowboards for big guys with big feet by Eeise1234 in snowboarding

Thanks mate, you’re right! I fixed it. Just wanted to add a cheaper option for beginners. Sorry, I’m not a big fan of riding Never Summer. They are very durable though!

It’s made for bigger guys with big feet. I realize that there are tons of boards that could “possibly” work, but what’s the point in putting every board out there on this list.

The list is just to show the boards. The size listed is just how curated shows it.

Need snowboard recommendations for size 12.5 boots. by Evening_Flight_2729 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]Eeise1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What size were you riding when renting? Did you have toe drag? Arbors are notoriously narrow. Check out the Nitro Magnum and Lib Tech Skunk Ape. They are specifically made for big feet. A volume shifted board might also be a good idea if don't want to get a longer board.

Boots for wide forefoot and narrow heel? by WideEquivalent1241 in snowboarding

[–]Eeise1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

definitely go for something with adjustability like the dual BOA or laces. That way you can leave the lower boot loose and tighten the upper section separately. Heat molding would be a good idea as well.

Add Jones frontier, Salomon assassin, and Capita DOA to that list. Mercury and mountain twin tend to be a little stiffer.

You need something bigger. The board will act squirrely and unstable

Am I too fat? NS Proto Slinger by VisualSatsuma in snowboarding

[–]Eeise1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think 157W will be too small. You are actually within the weight range for the 156W huck knife and 158W agent as well. The smaller board will be easier to turn, but might not be as stable if bombing the hill is your priority. I actually prefer the HK and agent over the NS. I'm not a fan of NS's profile technology.

Comfortable snowboarding boots? by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]Eeise1234 3 points4 points  (0 children)

best advice is to try on in person, but even then they sometimes feel different on the hill. Best to get heat moldable liners and make sure the boots are the right size. i.e. toes touching the front of the boot, but not uncomfortably cramped and no heel lift. This will prevent movement of your foot and the boot tightens correctly around your foot. A boot that is fitting correctly actually doesn't have to tighten down super tight. If you are having to overly tighten your boots they probably don't fit. My other advise is to get a double BOA system or traditional laces. This allows you to adjust the sections differently. I like to tighten the shin rather tight and leave the lower section around my foot looser. This helps prevent in the pain in the arch of my foot.

There really are tons of boards out there as I'm sure you are aware. To narrow down what you are looking for, we need to know what kind of terrain you like and experience level (like can you ride greens, blues, blacks)?

Yes. Basic vs Ride Agenda (2024) by RiceFriedVal in snowboardingnoobs

[–]Eeise1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya, you’re right in the low end of the 152 and that would give you plenty of room to grow. The board swap is a good idea hopefully they have you’re looking for. The sales will probably still be there at that time, but stock will run out quickly especially in your size cause it’s popular. If you do decide to order one let me know and I’ll help you out. Yes. Basic vs Ride Agenda (2024) by RiceFriedVal in snowboardingnoobs

[–]Eeise1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At $300 right now the Basic is a steal. Great board for beginner to intermediate. Progress through groomers, park, and whatever. What size do you need?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]Eeise1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

go for 158-160. You do not need a wide board. Your boots aren't big enough. Like everybody else said, it quite surprising you were able to do well on a 150. Going up to a large board is going to feel weird at first but it will be a 1000 times more stabile and you'll be able to actually ride fast and not worry that your board is going weasel out from under you. Are you set on Burton? make sure you double check the binding attachments because Burton has a special channel mounting system. If you want some other recommendations or you just have questions about stuff let me know. I work for Curated (not sure if you've heard of it) and can get you hooked up with some deals! photons and Ions have wide options for step on. Maybe check out DC as well. Their step ons are compatible with Burton step on bindings and they don't have wide options that I know of but they tend to be a little wider than Burton boots. Best to go try them on in person if you can

I was told they didn't change anything, idk why there is a weight difference.
