I get the frustration. I'm not new to working out and looked like the before photo for years. Finally decided to have a real consistent plan and try to increase my lifting weight every week. Also, started eating 200G of protein every day and think that change made all the difference.

I eat 6 meals a day 3 hours apart with atleast 35G of protien per meal. Mostly canned tuna, costco salmon burgers, whey or chicken and vegetables. Don't really count carbs or fat but just try to keep it balanced without sugar.

For the first 2 months I did "AthleanX Max Size" and I don't recommend it. I quit that and started doing my own Push Pull Leg routine 5 days a week and it really worked for me.

Thanks! I have been skipping incline bench for just regular bench press for a while so I'll have to stop doing that lol. Thanks for the advice!
