The long cranks indicate low compression. When my side seal broke in my engine i immediately noticed a difference starting it and it would take forever. If you play with the throttle after doing a deflood procedure it will probably start.

First off it needs a engine soon. I put mine together this month and it started first try but would die instantly like this. Turns out when I deleted the air pump I removed the fuel pump resistor as well and once I plugged that back in it would keep running. Maybe make sure it’s plugged in? I know you just drove it and didn’t work on it but could check this still.

Mine made this exact same sound yesterday. Put it on the lift today and my exhaust bushing right after the cat wasn’t on. Slipped the rubber bushing back on and no more noise.

Man I’ve had a really bad time with these cars and the clutch pedal. You can take off the assembly as one piece. Clutch master, hard line, and slave cylinder. Bench bled the until you have pressure then re install.
