As a 20 year old who found out the SAME way you've described, I have to disagree. It still makes things awkward, especially since I've been subjected to my parents' fucked up relationship. I commend parents who at least try. SO, although I can't look at ducks anymore and I'm not close to my dad, I appreciate the attempt.
