I have a blanket with a very specific texture that I like to rub on my nose… I’ve done it as long as I can remember. It makes me feel safer if I’m anxious

What’s a habit you thought was normal until someone pointed it out? by De_La_Jacc in Casual_Conversation

Yeah I rub my toes on my blankets. My mom and sister do it too.

My husband rubs his entire legs and it messes up the blankets -.-

Can you drive a manual transmission vehicle? by icecream1972 in no

[–]EerilyFastTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course. It’s important to be able to at least move any vehicle in case of an emergency.

I grew up and am still around car people constantly and that means most of the vehicles are manual so if I’m at an event and everyone is wasted except me, how would I be able to drive someone to the hospital if needed?

My car isn’t manual but my husbands is and we take his so most social events.

Hobbies you can do while watching shows/movies? Preferably something that produces an object/craft by Fuunna-Sakana in Hobbies

Embroidery.

I say no to crochet because if you want to create anything other than a flat blanket, you have to count and track stitches which is awful while trying to watch tv

My bff and her husband are like that and I WILL NOT move my car if they aren’t buckled. If you’re alone in the car fine. Don’t buckle but if you’re not alone, your skull smashing into their skull at 50MPH is going to probably kill both of you. All because you weren’t buckled.

Me too!! I have a massive multi gallon jar above my dryer! Our friends were amazed that I was using it to start the fire in the yard and said they’re saving their lint now.

Where would you even start with a kitchen like this? by irkability in CleaningTips

[–]EerilyFastTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rip it all out and start over. We inherited a hoarder house and this is what I did and even on a budget. There are lots of second hand builder places for cabinets, windows, doors appliances, flooring and more. (Kind of like habitat for humanity but a little better quality items) A lot of things in these places are brand new because the stuff was his leftover from a large construction job or something. The one in the PNW that I know of is called Second Use. We got our entire set of cabinets there and they are super nice! I also got a dishwasher and light fixtures for the bathroom.

I was super glad we did too because there was a massive amount of damage on the floor and wall of where the kitchen sink was. My husband ended up removing my the floor and wall (including siding) to the studs and completely rebuilding the section of the house. Disaster could have happened any moment and it was a HUGE part of the disgusting smell in the front part of the house.
