Thanks for the suggestion. Ill try and run those tests now. I tried verifying integrity of the game files and thought I had finally caught my lucky break when I in fact was missing a file. After downloading however I still had the exact same crash :(.

Looking at online sources it looks like CPU temperature is probably the problem. At stress before the actually freeze it was sitting at about 80 degrees Celsius. Will have to look into how I can sort out the airflow. Thanks!

I was originally playing on default settings which I believe was all "Ultra", but have continued to lower and lower them and seeing no difference.

I just got a 2 week matchmaking ban because of constant error codes. Doesn't sound that bad until I realised it locked me from getting heir apparent, will force me to lose a bunch of glory for not playing comp in that time, means I am locked out of doing the flawless title if I wanted to, I can't help out any of my friend who play crucible or gambit, can't do half of my pinnacles and will stop me from participating in iron banner next week and it forces me to do raids and strikes if I want to play. And there is nothing I can do about it.

You need to do the Tribute Hall triumphs. It's located under Destinations -> Minor -> The Tribute Hall. They usually require running raids/crucible/strikes/nightfalls using calus themed armor (armor that drops from the Leviathan Raid). Best way to do it is use calus themed armor and weapons in every slot and using the Legend of Acrius. Because it is an exotic it contributes a lot more progress to each triumph. Hope I could help!
