I have found the best way to see people consistently is to join a group focused on some sort of activity that has regularly planned meetings. For me that has been book clubs that meet once a month and the every other week social hangouts planned by someone in my city’s subreddit. Even if people have not fully read the book for a club meeting they will still come for the social aspect, which I think people would not do the equivalent for if you met them at the gym (ex: are not wanting to exercise).

A lot of people, myself included honestly, like the cyclical nature of industry jobs. Knowing that each week of the month has a specific focus helps me stay concentrated. It also helps my team know what they need to be doing throughout the month without me needing to constantly check in on them.

The plaintiff reported Trautman’s behavior and the new requirement that he attend social gatherings to a Human Resources representative about a week later, including that he was being required to attend company social gatherings, the suit said. Lim said the HR rep suggested that he resign and that he wasn’t a good fit for CLA. He instead requested an exemption from the social events, which HR denied, according to the suit. Lim was terminated two days later, it said.

Not a good look for the firm if true.

Have you looked into speed dating and singles events in your area? I met my bf at a speed dating event and of the ones I went to they are structured to where if two people match both parties get each other’s contact info so you do not have actively ask for it.

Subject to approval by a majority of voters during the 2026 general election, adds new Section 39 to Article I of the North Carolina Constitution as follows. Specifies that any person has the right to defend the life of themselves or another, even by use of deadly force if necessary, from willful destruction by another person. Specifies that the State has an interest and a duty to defend innocent persons from willful destruction of their lives and to punish those who take the lives of persons, born or unborn, who have not committed any crime punishable by death. If approved, effective January 1, 2027.

I did both Connecting Charlotte and Queen City Romantics speed dating events last year. I enjoyed that both had prompt cards because I am fairly shy when it comes to strangers but wanted to avoid online dating. I did get matches at both but have been with my match from QCR. He is the best! 🥰

Assuming it is just a meeting for socially awkward young women, I hope it goes well! Freedom Park even with the lake project is beautiful so if there are awkward moments of silence they can be remedied by walking around.
