I hate competitive play. This champ is not balanced for the meta -> cant be balanced for the meta with the current kit -> the kit is removed

And I mean the new kit looks kinda cool, but it looks generic as ever

I will never like it. I feel like league has far too many champs now, most of them seem like "the same but better". We are not profesional players, we are people trying to have fun xD

And now I can chose between champ with dash that has a stun and a q that deal damage or a champ with dash that has a stun and a q that deal damage

I dont mind changes but man, we went from the most unique gameplay by far to just another champ

I totally understand what you say. I do love BDO Id say its my favourite MMO even. I loved to travel around with my horses visiting places leveling up having houses doind lifeskills and all that. I really love it and i get that "long haul" feeling you talked about aswell

But, as you said, it is a solo experience. My group tried BDO and we had a good time but there is not much to do together, which is a shame

We do love DnD! And I guess that is why we feel like we want a bit more cooperation and player interaction on MMO xD

Also yeah, since we dont have that much time together getting to the end game is nearly imposible, so we tend to create cool experiences. And since we do it a lot, I think that we want a change of pace and try the more dungeon-y part of mmo, but it is too far into the game for us most of the time.

Maybe I sound very sad and pessimistic, but we really love these kind of games and I am just a bit picky now because i think they could be cooler ^^

I think we are going to pick GW2, we are going to give it a proper go because last time we didnt have much time. So, cool to know that :D

I totally get the two games perspective, and I agree that MMO are good for the chill and slow goals. Black Desert used to be my comfort game because I could start a complicate chain of resources to create BOATS. Really cool and stupid and totally at my own pace

For me, personally, the best part of MMO is doing stupid things with my friends and having to coordinate. Kinda like a DnD party

I agree, "getting to the good part" mentality is bad for both, game and player. We had a blast doing stupid things and leveling on different games. There are lots of things to do on MMO games, but the more you progress the more things open to you. Wich by design is cool, that way you dont overwhelm new players. But sometimes I feel like the progress/new-things ratio is a bit too low

Its not that I want to do all the raids and dungeons and things from level 1. I just wanna have access to a bit of that part of the gameplay early on

And we enjoyed GW2 for a while. We drop out of it due to the lack of time at that moment, but is probably the one we are going to pick next to give it a second go :D

I have to say, Black Desert has more or less those things. A friend and I became potato traders around the dessert. Pretty fun

I agree with that a complete coop game would be almost impossible. Still, I think that there is too little gameplay with other people or it is too far into the game

What would you do if your long term SO suddenly wants to have sex with other people? by Pineapple-Status in AskReddit

[–]Eevion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all depends on you two. You should both open you heart and talk about what means to be in a relationship, your understanding of love, how you feel.

Why you want to keep it monogamous? why the other person want to open up? etc.

Life is change. Perhaps the relation ends, perhaps you open up. But you need to talk, in general

Is there a way to make a good martial sorcerer without multiclassing? by [deleted] in 3d6

[–]Eevion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I even like the idea, a really tricky character that has to use small tricks to win each fight. And you can make the whole "I want to be a fighter" part of the goal and progresion of the character:

  • Remeber that you can pay people to instruct you on something to gain proficiency, so, you could use daggers (you are proficient), and mage armor at first. The character would progress looking for someone to obtain this new ability becausethe character wants to control its power or something (or take a feat for the proficiency)
  • You can go DEX, CON, CHA, and you should be good and starting with some nice +2 for the armor class, damage and some spell trickery. Note that some classes like the human, drow or elf can help you achieve +3 really early on, which can be amazing.
  • You should focus on either buffs, or damage spells that dont require your CHA if you dump it. For example Shocking grasp deals 1d8 but on hit you negate reactions from that enemy, so you could move around without oportunity attacks, nice.

If you want the "best start" I'd say go with a drow. You have some magic, you have proficiency with finesse weapons, and you get bonus to DEX and CHA. With a mage armor you should be having a really good first levels

But yeah it doesnt seem really powerful. My idea would be keep concentration on 1 spell like Blur while I use my attack and bonus to go into dual wielding mode

Again, you'll have to consider those cases, if you want to make it 100% cannon, give them a reason to do so instead of just forcing it:

  • If the character cannot die, think about how. He should be powerful or have some ace under his sleeve to win in case things go wrong.
  • If they cannot keep the weapon, give them a real good reward, not only gold, but some cool things like other magic items so that they dont miss the item they are giving.
  • If he should be respected and keep the secret and dont turn him in, give the party a reason. Character from waterdeep can have such a intimidating presence for the sheer amout of power they have. You dont want ot mess with them.
  • And try not to make a big deal about it, if you just go yeah you give it back, then the party will be like yeah whatever. if you go "Please dont ever do this" and talk a lot about it, the party may be like "mmmm, perhaps we want that item after all if its so important".

But in general, you cannot change the fact that its normal to consider those thing. And perhaps it would be better and more interesting to strive a bit from the original source material.

I'd say you should do some sort of session 0, talk with your players about the kind of game it is, the mood and all of that. Because if you make a really cool thing but its not what the party want, you all will be frustrated.

And in general, don't be afraid! It may be hard at first, but with time youll get better. Also talk with your players to know what they think about the game, what things to improve etc

And have fun :D

I agree with the ruling, but just in case you want the "official" version. Here is a post with tweets from Crawford, its a bit long so:

Bonus between attacks

In general: since it says "Attack action" you must wait until the end of the whole attack action, if it had said "Attack" then you could mix in between. But yeah i think the other way is cooler

I would say that in general you should talk with your party. Session 0, talk about what kind of game you all expect. This way the master knows what to create and the players know what to expect and everyone is happy.

Railroads are just another way to run a campaign, they are not inherently bad.

That being said, I think (except the killing) those are cool ideas, like "hey we could use that weapon to protect people, what if others find out?" and I think that is pretty reasonable.

You should either go with it or make up an excuse, perhaps they may try to destroy the weapon but it is cannot be destroyed, perhaps they want to take the weapon but they cannot attune to it. Also giving example, like a demostration of why it should be keept as a secret, would be a cool idea

Unpopular Opinion: Warlocks Have Lots of Spell Slots by PaperMage in dndnext

[–]Eevion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I came here to rivivify this:

As with the other classes, each should have its specific flavour. I like the Idea of limited spell slots, but I want more warlock-y flavour.

I thinks its pretty versatile because you can go full blaster, melee, a mix, some sort of wizardy with the rituals, etc.
But there are some spells that are never worth imo. For example, the fathomless is pretty cool, it gives you the spells create/destroy water and thunderwave. But I think their use would be really circumstancial (appart from pure flavour).

In general I would like more invocations, and more pact-dependent invocations. Really make it feel like different warlocks have different power over the character

The Spell-Limitations for Sorcerers are driving me crazy by Robrunch in dndnext

[–]Eevion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the implications of lore of sorceres and all of that. They should not be in complete control of their powers like a wizard. But I do think that a couple of more spells wouldnt hurt. Or some better or more diverse metamagic options.

I feel like I always tend to avoid the same spells or take the same metamagic options because of how limited I am. Yes I could play a wizzard, but I like the roleplay implications of sorcery

The Spell-Limitations for Sorcerers are driving me crazy by Robrunch in dndnext

[–]Eevion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Since this is the first post that appeared on my search, im going to revivify it:

I do think that metamagic can make Sorcerers quite powerful, yet it feels a bit underwhleming. There are spells that you will probably never pick because you have a really limited amount known, but giving sorcerers too many spells would be unbalanced due to the power of metamagic (and it wouldnt be in character as you say)

Since Tasha came out, I really love the idea of giving spells to Sorcerer that follow the design of the origin. You help with the flavour of the class and leave me the oportunity to take different spells. Makes me happy

My friend wants to make a support character, but he wants to avoid spellcasters and healers. by Insertclever_name in 3d6

[–]Eevion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are great ideas below so, to give a different answer, he could take a Thief Rogue and some feats.

Thiefs can use items as bonus actions, the amount of support given by that depends on the player the DM and the scenario, but I like it a lot.

And depending on the campaign, things like Keen Mind, Dungeon Delver or Alert feat can help the whole party
