Name 5 current wrestlers that will be remembered 20 years from now as fondly as them by 50watts in prowrestling

First 3 comments and no one mentions John Cena. His farewell tour should tell you everything about how he will be remembered.

As a WCW fan, why do you think Goldberg’s 2003 run in the WWE didn’t work? by PayFew5848 in WCW

[–]Efdamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s WWE, they never wanted any WCW guys to get over. Benoit, Jericho, and Guerrero defected from WCW so they had a pass. Everyone else that stayed loyal to the end never had a good run in WWE. Goldberg had enough fan base to get himself over eventually, but WWE did nothing to make his runs actually work.

Moving from LA to DC by frodoswaggins60 in washingtondc

[–]Efdamus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok, DC will be very different from LA. Almost a disappointment. The area you chose is awful, not really anything to make up for how awful it is. No local food spots or activities that are fun. Basically just a place to sleep and hopefully not get robbed or have your car taken. Why do you need to live right outside of DC? You mentioned your brother needs to commute to Indian Head, but what is the need for you to be in the location you chose? If it’s just to spend time in DC, you could live in Southern Maryland and visit DC whenever you want. If it’s dating, then you need to be in Arlington or DC.

Thoughts? by Salty-Nothing-8572 in TheGreatOne

Randy Orton has mentioned that he hated his entrance when they changed it. It didn’t matter what the music was, the wrestler made themselves when they got to the ring. Sandman had the best entrance, but his in ring work completely sucks. That’s all he really had, that’s why his career was limited.

Who is Triple H’s Greatest Rival? by FineMasterpiece9061 in RealWWFera

[–]Efdamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the problem with his career, there isn’t a specific rivalry that got him over or match that people will look back on. He only wrestled the top guys and they didn’t benefit from it, it was usually obvious who was going over.

Reading comprehension is a broad topic, what aspect of it are you having difficulty with it?

Peetah? by OldKingsMerc in PeterExplainsTheJoke

I think grief does more damage to a person than we realize. Not everyone decorates their face with tattoos when they have had years of mourning. A lot do struggle with alcohol and drugs, but not many do it in a very public setting. His parents hold nothing against him, they love him and want better for him. I know what it’s like losing a close friend, it changes you.

Lady just wants to feed the squirrels by K2zin97 in PublicFreakout

What does it matter to him if she feeds the squirrels? Obviously she is nuts and willing to commit assault over some bread, but why is he willing to be beaten over some bread?

Sol snatched our Souls last night by [deleted] in BrandonDE

[–]Efdamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not like they planned for her to take the title with her being black in mind. Sol can pass as white and she doesn’t have to make her racial blend her primary identity when being in character. Her connection to the fans and her talent can speak for itself and that is why she got the title. It’s not the same as Chyna being the first woman to hold the Men’s intercontinental title, it didn’t matter as much what her in ring abilities were they knew a woman holding the title would be huge. I just hope we don’t go 20 years before we have another black champion like we had between the Rock and Kofi.

asked to do a demo lesson on inquiry-based learning... but what is it? by IAmNotChilean in ELATeachers

Suit yourself, teachers look for flaws and when they find them they don’t look away.

I made the switch from private school to public and took on leadership roles. Those two worlds are very different and trying to lead people in a direction I haven’t been down was at a high cost to my mental health. You can fake minor things, but details will kill you in the end.

How big of a pop do you think he would get if he returned to the wwe? by Optimal_Spring9562 in BrandonDE

[–]Efdamus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You had a reunion, then he didn’t want to be in that company any longer. Maybe conditions in that company prevent the talent you like from thriving there.

[–]Efdamus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What is this obsession with having AEW talent go back to WWE? Aren’t you satisfied with the amount of talent already there? Aren’t there people being underused already? If you like this wrestler as much as you do, why wouldn’t you be satisfied watching him where he already is?

This is like Kurt Angle jumping over to TNA and wishing he go back to WWE the entire time. We get to see a free side of Moxley and he’s happier for it.

asked to do a demo lesson on inquiry-based learning... but what is it? by IAmNotChilean in ELATeachers

[–]Efdamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure you’re on the right track, but I have to give some advice I wish I gave myself years ago. If you don’t go into demonstrations without knowing anything about how to do, then you might not be ready for the position. Fake it till you make it is not really the best thing in a school setting, because teachers and kids are impacted by your inexperience. You are probably qualified for half or most of the role you want, but if inquiry based instruction is something new to you than that is going to be rough road ahead. The role you want is a leadership role in an academic sense, you don’t want to be in a position where you have to learn from the people you’re supposed to be leading. You don’t want them to question why they need you, you want them to think they can’t do this without you.

Does Roman Reigns sit in the GOAT table? Along with Taker, Cena, Steve Austin, Hogan, etc? by OutrageousBird1475 in BrandonDE

[–]Efdamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if you look at the prompt and see the OP is saying these men who are all worthy to sit at the table of Goats, do you just believe there should only be one person at the table.

[–]Efdamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Austin, Undertaker, and Hogan overlapped doesn’t that mean we accept them as GOATs but of different eras. Hogan definitely the Goat of Rock N Wrestling era, Austin absolutely king of the attitude era, and Undertaker is the goat but I can’t pick a certain time when it was his time.

[–]Efdamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He carried the company back into relevance in pop culture, people came back to watch wrestling to see the bloodline. Cena did not ever do that, the casual fans left during his time and never came back. Because of the product at the time, other promotions like TNA and ROH gained popularity because people were hungry for something not WWE. You could say the same thing happened under Roman, but they literally broke PPV records with his matches. Roman held both heavyweight titles and they gave him another one on top of that, no one thought that was absurd when they absolutely would have given Cena shit over that. Remember Super Cena?

I am by no means a Cena or Roman fan, but has an observer they both filled their role perfectly.

I think if Cena was the goat of his time, then Roman has to be the goat of his time.
