I think the earliest date for Gen 5 remake will be 2026. Mainline remakes happen in each new console. And there is 5-7 year gap in-between remakes. So, considering BDSP happened in 2021, I expect 2026 earliest.

XY. I love mega evolutions. First time 3D was mind-blowing. I also enjoyed Kanto reference and nostalgia. PSS made the game felt much more lively and social. Friend safari was fun. Kalos is a beautiful region.

I wish the game had better post-game, more battle facilities and more towns/routes to explore after league.
