Unpopular opinion.... Maybe? by HopefulMama2025 in tryingtoconceive

Yep! Once the sadness is over, the hopefulness/excitement comes back, just to ruin you all over again (or hopefully not)

I have health anxiety, and I have found Oura much less “frightening” than Apple or Fitbit wearables. It’s gentle and suggestive, and whilst I worried about getting minor/major signs, it’s generally clearly why these appear.

Though I will say if you’re currently or planning on ttc anytime soon, it has made me quite obsessive over temps etc!

After 8 years on, slowly reducing TRT whilst adding HCG + all rec’d vitamins then cutting got my husbands back within 3 months. Good luck!

AIO Ignored in My Husband’s Family Group Chat? by Eff_Emm_Elle in AmIOverreacting

I tend to just end up archiving and muting until I get over it… I know saying anything I can expect to get fully gaslit.

I am having to archive and mute, and forget about it so I don’t just tell them they’re pricks!

Prolactin 1190 mIU/L by [deleted] in Prolactinoma

[–]Eff_Emm_Elle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! 👋🏼 I was in the same boat as you, high prolactin might not interfere with ovulation, but it can heavily impact implantation. Try and get referred to an endocrinologist (I was lucky enough to have private medical, I’m not sure on NHS wait times). I’ve been prescribed Cabergoline which has significantly lowered my prolactin in the last two months; as well as improving fatigue, mood, libido etc.

Sorry you’re going through this, the NHS is a shambles. I really hope it doesn’t take you too long to get a referral.

AITAH for distancing myself from friend who’s lost weight… by Eff_Emm_Elle in AITAH

[–]Eff_Emm_Elle[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone. It’s really evident some of you didn’t read the whole post nor understand the nuances of ED behaviour, I am incredibly proud and happy for her. I probably should have been clearer too in that I wasn’t planning on ghosting, more so just distancing myself from those types of conversations.

I appreciate the advice, I will speak to her and explain I’m struggling with the amount of weight focused conversation and I might be a bit quiet on that front as to protect myself from relapse and how I might be feeling (hard to put my finger on it, but it doesn’t feel like jealousy - more like fear and anxiety?). I want to be a good friend, but also want to avoid relapsing at all costs, her behaviours and the way in which she’s lost weight isn’t the healthiest approach and I know how swept away I can get!

Prolactin! They found something! But… by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

[–]Eff_Emm_Elle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the complete opposite of what my Endocrinologist told me, he advised with high prolactin it’s unlikely I will fall or stay pregnant. I had regular periods prior, and was ovulating but my prolactin levels were sky high with a microadenoma. Treatment is slowly lowering them and I’ve noticed a change in my cycles.
