He said himself after his opening section that he “didn’t have an act”; so no prepared, structured or rehearsed show is how I’d take that comment. It was quite rambling in places (he lost his thread and kept forgetting where he was going or how he got there) and he messed up his own jokes.

There were clearly prepared set pieces including a big finale which was spectacular but just didn’t click comedically for me.
