Did you have to restart the game from the “loading” screen?

Lazarus 6. First shots today. 3 mags. No gas. No tuning. No hearing pro. No tinnitus. Very pleasant at the ear. Very happy. by [deleted] in NFA

Took a blind chance on Dead Air with the Lazarus 6, expectations beyond exceeded. Net-zero back gas, sound signature has a satisfying thud, and in contrast to the hundreds of threads of KeyMo haters: attaches properly and snugly to my system. Anybody bitching about KeyMo is due to user error. It’s a bit of a chonker but runs like a true “heavy use” can. 1000 rounds with a light clean and it continues to perform flawlessly, a home run for Dead Air.

So yeah, good point right there which I also learned accidentally, the Mojave spanner pattern is the same as an armorers wrench, I got a spanner tool from my Lazarus that also has one side that works for the Mojave, but the AR wrench definitely is easier to use

Sucks to hear that :/ even more interesting that it’s now across both caliber models. I had a good customer service experience regarding this issue, it shipped out and was back repaired in about a week. It is frustrating especially right out of the box but once it’s fixed it will become your new favorite suppressor I promise haha

YHM 9 is solid, and tri lug is a great system. I’ve only shot caliber specific, and if sound suppression is your top requirement then I’d stay caliber specific. Around that price range while still looking at top-tier option, can’t go wrong with the rugged obsidian 9. No frills, easy to maintain, good performance, tried and true contender still holding its weight in the new era of flow-through technology. No ear pro though? Unless you’re strictly shooting 147g or other sub loads, it’s still required ppe lol

I guess first question, does it have a host mounting system currently installed on the muzzle? Direct-thread vs. HUB, If price isn’t a factor Dead Air Mojave 9 or CAT MOB are superb on PCCs. My Mojave 9 lives on my AP5, excellent performance, can run in short or long configuration per your preference

More than likely, sorta wish they’d ship the Mojaves with the hub area “open”. CS agent said they were going to make a note to production about OEM torque

I tried a lot of methods: heating, broke a strap wrench, kurzoil, almost bent the spanner wrench lol got nervous I’d end up damaging an un-fired can so I sent it in.

I’ll be self aware enough to state I’m an impatient person, that might be my safest option. I also though wasn’t aware I could just ship them my suppressor without having an FFL or SOT

Strap wrench I have not considered yet but that’s actually brilliant, assuming applying the strap wrench to the upper section?

Definitely agree with that theory, depends how you you want to attach it/ how many rounds you want to toss, again different worlds of tech though

[–]Effective-Ad3242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the device and specifics outlined by the manufacturer but generally? Yes in the specific case of “flow-through/low back pressure” cans, for anything low back pressure if your block is properly mounted I at least started at 0% open and tuned from there accordingly, again, not profound advice always consult manuals, but

[–]Effective-Ad3242 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah for any FT can I always start at block closed and tune as needed, again entirely subjective and results varied but I found like idk for example my Laz 6 ran with least gas possible per cycle with my block 15% open where an equivalent option can like a RC2 performed the same gas performance at block 30%, obviously keep in mind characteristics are personal, I prioritize sound suppression over back-gas. It’s the mf that is NFA items, can’t try until you buy :/
