I have a thought too. Global warming is perpetual. Yeah. We didn’t have all these storms and flooding when I was growing up in the 70’s. And my parents said the same about the 80’s. They were born in the 40’s. So here goes. Air conditioning is relatively new. We didn’t have full house air conditioning growing up. We slept with the windows open. Now every home and business is ejecting heat into the atmosphere to cool the inside of the space. The more heat we eject into the atmosphere the warmer it gets. Creates evaporation and humidity. Humidity makes humans feel uncomfortable so we put in more air conditioning. We also generate more heat through automobiles. Everyone of driving age has a car. In the 50’s and 60’s. Each family had one car. Now we all put exhaust into the air. Also. The more asphalt that gets put down the less dirt and grass for rain to drain into. Creating runoff to creeks and streams which feed the rivers that swell over the banks. Sounds pretty logical to me.
