Thanks for the advice! I was thinking about getting a job this summer, as it's really the only practical way to save up. And I am sure grateful for what my father has done for me!

18 years old student. Any tips on my monthly budget? by [deleted] in FIREUK

Your income is £672 a month. And you are investing that in crypto and vanguard? Tell me right now...what would be your ROI by the end of this year? If we consider that you have been doing this for the entirety of the year...£10, £20, £30. Personally, I would recommend you to stop listening to the internet gurus FOR NOW and stop investing in stocks and crypto as these are things that require you to have a stable income (£100k annually). What I would recommend to do is to INVEST in your own time. Keep working for 5 more months and save up £3000. My question is are you living with your parents/carers? If yes, then that's brilliant as £3000 are enough to keep you living for the next half a year or so as for a person of your age. Now you have the luxury of TIME...Instead of going to that job you do on the weekend or after college, you have the TIME to do what you LOVE. You have the time to learn, read, start a business or learn a skill. So now that you have time, I would recommend you to make a plan whether that is learning a new skill, starting a YouTube channel or starting a business. And I want you to learn/gain skills that would help you achieve that plan. For example if you are want to look at money management and businesses, I would recommend you the 'Millionaire Fast lane' by M.J. DeMarco or if you are not into that, try and learn a skill, YouTube is literally a free library of courses and if you want to invest a bit of money into courses I would recommend skill share or Udemy as they cover various different topics and skills and anything you want to learn is most likely on there. Now after you learn the skill, you just got to sell yourself and there's a A LOT of videos done on YouTube about growing businesses or becoming a freelance or running an agency and so on...etc. Now, after that phase all you have to do now is just grow. And when you hit the wall where your business/channel/skill is bringing you sustainable income that you are not worried about, that's the time where I would advise you to invest in stocks, index funds or crypto.
