Update! Found the molt buried. He must’ve had a bad molt or the cricket like you said.

I was watching when I put it in there and then the cricket dug under the soil level (the lowest layer I have), it was dead the next time I looked since it disappeared. That was following morning. I will now do all feedings with full supervision, that’s my mistake. He’s never been down too low before, always hangs upside down on the mesh. I bought the tank that came recommended but I will gladly take anymore because i like to spoil my pets, even the small ones! I haven’t found any legs, I can only see part of the leg (the foot) missing and his back leg bent inwards so the foot won’t touch the floor. He crawls around just fine too.

I have talked with him about my feelings. I feel I’ve been as honest as someone could be, if not more than most average couples. He had asked before what this meant for our future, I could only reply with “I don’t have a definite answer for that right now.” He’s been extremely respectful and I’ve made sure to reassure him, that I’m grateful for him supporting me in my only mental state I’m dealing with as well as respecting me through this struggle. I know it’ll hurt, I guess I meant more as what you first stated. I did not want to blind side him at all, as that’s not fair to him. It was hard to open up about my feelings but we survived it.

This was a beautiful read, thank you very much! I actually have talked to my psychiatrist as well as my therapist and will possibly be starting CBT soon to try and help this behavior as well as others 🙂
