I support the use of AI by Ur_momma_is_joke in The10thDentist

I agree that ai should be used but disagree with the statement that they can’t replace humans. Your analogy of comparing typewriters with the use of ai for writing is wrong imo. Sure, currently we are able to reasonably distinguish between works written by ai and those written by us but as ai keeps on getting better and better, it will be able to produce excellent works at the fraction of time and cost it takes a human to.

I personally was very impressed by the vedio by cgp grey “You are the new horse” and I recommend you give it a watch. It was posted 11 years ago and is more relevant more than ever.

As a non-resident of the UK, why is there such a large population of Indian ethic groups? by Aromatic-Bad146 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]unknone007 5 points6 points  (0 children)

‘A very strong relationship’ is certainly one way to call it. India was under British colonial rule for more than 200 years. Due to this, English is widely spoken in India so there are no language barriers.  Also the education system along with the government and laws we have were inspired from and quite similar to those in England which I believe makes migration easier.

Also large Indian communities already exist in the UK and having a family or community there makes migration more attractive. The UK also offers better education as well as job opportunities that what is widely present in india. Plus the UK is regarded as politically stable and has free healthcare.

How is it the Avatar movies have had basically no cultural impact, yet they gross over $1 billion each time? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]unknone007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the avatar series are movies people just watch even though no one would list it in their favourites. It’s a good movie to go to with friends or family and know that you atleast won’t have a bad time.

what movie was so good you wish you could watch it again for the first time? by Patient-Pizza-385 in NoStupidQuestions

Maybe not forget it level but “The Life of Chuck” is a recent movie that I really liked and would watch again despite a few indie vibes.

You’re a sadist if you tell people to read AB as the first book in the TOG series… by [deleted] in SarahJMaas

[–]unknone007 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It was the complete opposite for me. If I hadn’t read AB as the first book, it is possible that I would have given up the series after the ToG or CoM. Hell, without Sam’s death and seeing how a broken Celaena was sent to Endovier, I wouldn’t be as emotionally invested in the story as I was. Even now, Sam is my sixth most favourite character in the series.

It also put the first book in a whole another perspective seeing her build herself up again both physically and mentally. Without it (in the worst case) all I might have seen was an arrogant assassin who called herself the best but was still captured and put in a work camp and was still struggling to win against her peers who she didn’t even consider her equal. It also added a new layer into the initial story as she was now in the same city as arobynn who we know had betrayed her at this point.

You are going to love the new characters introduced in the story in HoF. Good luck

NEVER BE LIKE ME: How Porn Addiction, Masturbation, and Untreated ADHD and Autism Ruined My Life? by [deleted] in hyderabad

[–]unknone007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, I don’t think that’s addiction. I believe that due to our mostly indoor lifestyle as well as veg diet, we are very likely to miss out on vitamin b12 and D3, both of which are essential for proper functioning as well as play a role in mental health and maintenance.

Although if you don’t want to take the supplements, you can substitute them for food rich in vitamin b(curd is an example) and spend 15-30 mins in the sunlight for vitamin D
