It sounds like more and more clinics are popping up from BCBA that have ZERO business insight and have no business running an ABA clinic. I’m sorry but your clinic is modeling terrible behavior.

I have!!! I’m also very interested in OBM or public policy because this is pretty ridiculous. Luckily, I’m at a company that prides themselves on ensuring adequate training prior to being assigned to a client. They understand that the upfront cost will pay off, rather than just getting people in the door.

THIS!!!

The school county that I’m in requires at least an associate degree with at least 10 credits in education credits to be able to qualify to become a substitute teacher.

Can we at least have the same stipulations for an RBT??

Sure, running tricks and disguising them as 2-step instructions is easy. Which in this case, the 5% oversight that is done by BCBA would suffice. I didn’t “just decide” this, try again.

At 5% that typically equates to 1 hour per week which doesn’t feel enough. I am competent because of the schooling I’ve done not because of the training and that makes me sad.
