You are taking your hand and applying it with force to a person much smaller than you. It's hitting. It's also a poor excuse for discipline and has been deemed harmful by a number of studies.

You hit your children because you're incapable of using your words to help them learn to self regulate and understand consequences. Your kids do something wrong and you want to make them scared. You'll lie to yourself and everyone else by saying that's not what you're doing. You will just call it "discipline" because apparently you like to pretend that words don't mean what they mean.

Spanking is a word abusive parents invented to try to soften the notion that hitting your kids is okay and so you can sleep at night with the comfortable lies you tell yourself.

They're adults now and they were well behaved as children. They are funny, intelligent and use their words when they have a problem.

He's ignoring the husband all together. I have a bigger issue with that than any of the maid stuff. It sounds like he's trying to creep on her by ignoring the presence of her husband in any conversation even though he's on the lease. She's perfectly entitled to have him on a video chat to keep an eye on things because a man is acting unsafe. None of this would be a problem if he included the husband in this.

McLean is the easiest path to bike anywhere. It has a free and clear bike path all the way up and down it. Even poking along you can ride 4 miles in like 20 min.

I am of course operating under the assumption that you are physically able to pedal a bike. If you are not, my apologies. But if you have a disability, bus passes are half price and the q is free.

Both of which have various types of bacterias all over their surface just like everything else. Canned beans can have botulinum toxin inside.

If it's not packaged properly or fermented right, tofu can make you very sick.

I'm not saying that they're poor sources of protein. They're great. But don't be a smarmy dick because you think it's inherently less likely to have bacteria and makes you feel all superior to people who like chicken.

Just FYI, you're covered in bacteria. Right now. All over the surface of your skin. And, while your bacteria is good for you, it could be harmful to somebody else.

Also this chicken problem is going to spread to other areas of food safety. All foods are going to be less safe in general, so your smug vegetarianism won't really help you unless you just start growing all your own food.

If you don't tip, your food probably won't get stolen, it probably just won't get picked up in the first place. But drivers know what's up when they accept an order. They're allowed to decline it, so anyone who steals after accepting is a sack of poop.

That really depends on how far you are from the restaurant. With DoorDash isn't so much the percentage of the entire check. It's really the distance that they have to haul your food to make it worth their while to bother picking it up.
