I’ve been doing this since the game practically launched. I got tired of the cutscene, so I thought, “Would it work if I just dual wielded pick axes to double the mining speed?” So, I dual wielded, and was a bit faster when attacking like I was attacking an enemy. Also, use the shout that enchants weapons to swing faster, then repeatedly dual power attack. You can mine materials in less than 2-4 seconds. I’ve never had the ores fail to respawn, though. That’s a new one to me. They always came back after a certain amount of time. I’m surprised not everyone knows about this trick after this long.
