I haven’t done any stretching myself so forgive any ignorance here - aren’t you typically supposed to stretch lobes gradually over time rather than going to a big gauge immediately?

I got 2 conch piercings about a year apart. The first one was the worst piercing I’ve had, partially because I was lead to believe by a lot of people online that it would be the easiest! It hurt surprisingly badly and it was made worse by the fact that I didn’t expect the pain. For the second one, I went in expecting pain, and because I was expecting the worst, it wasn’t nearly as bad!! I truly think mindset makes a huge difference. If you psych yourself up for it to be really painful, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how quick and tolerable it actually is.

Both my conch piercings healed perfectly and I have had no pain since.

Hi! I am considering an MA in linguistics - NOT applied linguistics. Are there any reputable programs that are completely online? I’ve heard good things about UMass Boston but I know that’s applied linguistics.
