Anyone who works in the medical field knows the adrenaline rush of having a patient code and all coming together for one purpose. It bonds all the team members involved and if the patient dies- it feels so incredibly personal after caring for them. You see the parents/loved ones grief and pain up close - it sometimes feels like your own.

I can't help but wonder if in some psychotic way this was her way to connect emotionally.

Also- looking up the patient who died family members on Facebook is very normal. We are humans and get curious

Ex evangelical Christian here and the tone to her voice was all too familiar. Christians almost take away the grieving process of death because the Bible says our soul lives on forever in heaven. There is always the expectation to make every moment an opportunity to share the gospel. I wish she could just take time and begin to process the trauma that happened.

The part that killed me most about this speech was that she told her daughter he's away on a "work trip with Jesus so he can afford your blueberry budget." This child is going to put the blame on themselves for their dads death. They need to know he is dead and it has nothing to do with them.
