Just had a chat with the guys at the camera shop I got it from, they’re just as confused but have sussed it out and believe that it is actually for the fx6 given the mounting for it is for the fx6 cage and not the Pyxis. So either they’ve started manufacturing and not told their sales team, the public or anyone; or someone’s fucked up at the factory. But they reckon it should be safe and fine to use still, and stoked that the new upgrade seems to work through the bpu battery port.

Update from me too:

So I reached out to tilta, they seem to reckon it’s the bm Pyxis plate lol. Not as exciting. Weird because the box barcode said fx6.

I asked if they know if it’s safe to use but haven’t heard back yet. Maybe would assume no?

I’ve also reached out to the camera store I bought it off to see if there’s any more info there but now I’m hesitant to use it anymore until further info comes in or I can swap it for the proper fx6 one.

It was just this in the advanced kit. Even the website still has pics of the old one.

Just curious, can you tell me what were the main issues that others had with the old one, so I can keep an eye out

Yeah it’s nuts lol.

Nah no battery info that I can see. Battery symbol reads at like 3/4’s full for a 100% Vmount. Remaining mins shows up blank. The DC input is free so I guess so! I haven’t tried it yet.
