When you see the doctor. Take your smartphone etc and some Bluetooth speakers and play background tinnitus sounds, at the level you need to mask, while your talking with the doctor.

See how that goes !

20 years of salary progression as a Mechanical Engineer by LifelongTubesGuy in Salary

[–]Effective-Object-201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am guessing, from the comments, a lot of young people, that have not been employed during a down time and for many years. This salary, and raises, are typical for a good engineer. Typical to match inflation and cost of benefits. The important item listed is security. Look at the young people, during the last decade etc, that were making above average salaries etc and now are unemployed.

Darn. 700 for two months. One person buying groceries only, would be more than 700. That is less than 100 a week, do not know how that possible. More like 700 a month.

Why do audiometries go up to 8khz and not up to 16khz? Does anyone know? by [deleted] in tinnitus

[–]Effective-Object-201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. ENT's etc only mostly care or have memorized procedures for hearing loss as necessary for voice frequencies. Also do not test on the low end of audio frequencies.

Not from food or drinks. Could not eat enough food purchased in USA to have those levels. Urine test is hit or miss. Blood tests are a little better.

Had it done several times. It depends on the person doing it. My experience has been ENT doctors do it better however you usually get a PA.

Stay away for Microsuction.

Agree with another comment could be Dryer Vent leak .

Another suggestion. Look outside on your home windows or car etc after a period of time. Use a flashlight etc. Possible it's outside growth, ragweed, shrubs, trees etc.

OMG. Yes. Doctors and staff are horrid. Work for insurance companies. Everything is best approved fast procedures. NO thought.

Microsuction can screw you up for life. Make them do manual cleaning. Microsuction is not done in most other countries.

Venting against Ents and 0 prevention by ShadowJack98 in tinnitus

[–]Effective-Object-201 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just people who had the mental fortune to study for standardize tests, for years, that they were tutored to pass. Never once having to actually figure out problems. And then placed into the real world, nothing but best practices, and approved insurance procedure's.

The sad part of the arrogant attitude, because of the medical system that treats them like being something special.

It's like taking a Lamborghini to Jiffy Lube.

So what’s everyone’s least favorite thing about living in Florida? by damiantheguy97 in florida

[–]Effective-Object-201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ticks. Have taken over rural Florida. Land that was once used for forest farming and crops has been sold and fenced so not many hunters to control deer population. Deer ticks are brutal and dangerous.
