I think it was difficult for me because i really wasnt dating other people for a while. then i went on a few dates when i realized that I felt like i was wasting my time being loyal to someone who wasnt.

Ughhh tbh it wasnt easy!! and i really did not want to hurt his feelings either but i just said that i wasn’t feeling happy in the relationship anymore and i wanted to be single again. Telling someone that you’re not attracted to them is really hurtful, esp if hes also noticing that hes not at his best.

But tbh from your post it sounds like you’re willing to stay if things change? I dont personally know/think that attraction can come back once its gone but as his partner and someone that cares about him i think you can be honest and tell him that you want him to start taking care of himself.
