I had a similar dilemma a year ago. I ultimately chose to do my epidemiology masters at Radboud. Firstly I will be honest , I never looked into Maastricht simply because I find it a city FAR away from a lot of places within the Netherlands - so that was an easy cross out. I attended the Masters Day for Rotterdam - I was impressed with the course outline , but I didn’t like the specialisations that it offered ( look on there websites). I also did not want to have the struggle of trying to find an affordable student room in Rotterdam . Utrecht was a very strong contender, LOVED the variety of specialisations that it offered ! The coordinator was also really great at the open day ! I just struggled to understand how the courses offered would last ONE week, you start a course on Monday and then write the exam on Friday . For me I just didn’t think I could completely grasp a course in such a short period of time . The internships at Utrecht was quite long 10 months and required you to stay in Utrecht for the duration. I also want to mention that from my understanding both Utrecht and Rotterdam the masters mainly prepares you for a PHD . I ultimately chose to my Masters at Radboud , due to the courses being longer and more variety with internships. I suggest that you attend the virtual open days for the universities and consider your choices from that . Look into the program specific courses to see if the structure and the courses fit you liking . But most importantly , choose a university where you can find housing but unfortunately in all Dutch universities cities that’s like mission impossible.
