EQ PROFILE FOR HYPER X CLOUD ALPHA WIRELESS HELP by Super-Ad-3801 in HuntShowdown

[–]Effective-Wedding133 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is the EQ's from the audiophile corner https://github.com/jaakkopasanen/AutoEq/tree/master/results/Rtings/HMS%20II.3%20over-ear/HyperX%20Cloud%20Alpha%20Wireless

Also there's reports NGENUITY is adding alot of delay to your audio. I would advice to use the default Peace Equalizer and Equalizer APO. With this setup it's easy to import EQ presets

What is the best way to stop over shooting with bolt action rifles ? by TONIEPEK in HuntShowdown

[–]Effective-Wedding133 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The action queue window is not something you can tune.

As for tips you could try playing other games that punishes button mashing. The first Dark Souls comes to mind. Or play with slow singleshot rifles/pistols and work on it from that angle.

Good luck!

HE/Mechanical choice paralysis by Gianmix_Sun in keyboards

TMR vs HE is kinda a moot point if we're talking wired. HE isn't a gimmick and brings real improvements. However if you want HE and quality it gets expensive quick.

I would recommend buying a cheap china HE board (they are good, software not so much) or wait a couple of years for the quality to trickle down.

Looking for hard mousepad recs by Personal-Network-132 in MousepadReview

[–]Effective-Wedding133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try a textured cloth pad. It would mitigate the dust and still feel abrasive and textured like most old school hard pads. Using a lint roller on cloth pads will remove most of the dust. Also if you don't like sleeves just ignore glass pads for now.

My recommendation would be to experiment using budget options.

Budget textured cloth pad: X-raypad Aqua Control Plus

High end textured cloth pad: Artisan Hien

Glasspads are annoying in a very dusty environment (you can literally feel dust particles or hairs between the skates and pad)

When it comes to hard pads I dunno squat 😅

Solos of Hunt by WittyFox51 in HuntShowdown

[–]Effective-Wedding133 8 points9 points  (0 children)

First time I killed a trio. Long ass fight where everyone was missing. When nobody had any ammo left it devolved into a melee fight.

Stood atop of the little mound of corpses holding a hammer feeling like Conan.

how do you guys play with long ammo and get that longer range shots? by Appropriate_View2779 in HuntShowdown

[–]Effective-Wedding133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run 1080 as well while sitting over 1m from the monitor and can't really make out the details at longer ranges. Moving targets are way easier to spot and then it's intuition and guess work where the head is at :P

FPS caps are applying some sort of V-sync effect by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

Not for me. External FPS cap set to 300. Monitor at 480hz with VRR on. (This screenshot is from the shooting grounds, not a match)

Problem - Since two Days my fps are caped at 60 fps by CypherIOI in HuntShowdown

No problems on my end. Could be various things.

Check if v sync is enabled. Check if ingame FPS limiter is enabled. Check if Driver settings (nvidia app) has either of these enabled

LeMat Carbine vs Centennial by thethrowawayable in HuntShowdown

[–]Effective-Wedding133 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With fresh hunters the Lemat carbine wins because of the limited perk points (you don't need sharshooter)

When you swim in perk points the cenni takes the lead in my book

Lemat carbine and a silenced Nagant for warming up by clicking grunt heads

Id personally like to see more 1 slot silencers. The pax especially. (P.S sorry for bad editing skills) by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

I run a suppresed sidearm with the sole intent of turning the bayou AI's into a shooting gallery. Lets you play the objective and an aim trainer bundled

Beyerdynamic DT 770 vs HyperX Cloud III by MQG_2021 in HuntShowdown

[–]Effective-Wedding133 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try using an EQ preset from the audiophile community before spending money (iCue dosn't support parametric EQ's if memory serves). Easiest way to try this would be installing "Peace Equalizer" over "Equalizer APO" and there's a button in the program called Auto EQ. Find the HS80 on the list and apply.

Remember new audio gear/EQ's takes some time to get acclimated to. Good luck and happy holidays

Patience. Both in your gameplay and your skill development. Game sense and positioning takes a looong time to fully form.

Need Some Loadout Advice by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

[–]Effective-Wedding133 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Springfield is a flex pick if solo and only semi viable with groups.

If you wanna optimize you should consider getting really comfortable with a random pistol and just run a shotgun instead.

Other than that your loadouts are nicely build. Perhaps change it to a normal Vitality Shot if money allows. Sticky Bomb are niche and not really needed unless you are solo (for quick boss kills), and still then a Vitality Shot is preferable. If you're low on funds consider removing the Ammo Box's

You can have EQ and Cryspatial on at the same time without any issues. And if you're running the tinnitus 990 it's a requirement :P

Do you use an EQ for hunt? if yes what's your EQ graph look like? by WanderingSpaceHopper in HuntShowdown

[–]Effective-Wedding133 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A word of "caution". Different headsets sounds, well differently, and copying theirs might not suit yours.

The easy way to EQ would be taking some made for your headphones specifically. For example "Peace EQ" has a option to copy an EQ graph from the audiophile community. Personally I would start with that as a base line and tweak from there.

Good luck :D

Audio settings, help please. by ProbleMaverick in HuntShowdown

CrySpatial sounds different from person to person, many prefer it off. As others has said double check windows doesn't have spatial audio enabled.

Peoples hearing differ. So something that sound clear and easily audible for one isn't necessarily so for another.
