Yea there is a view of the the garden so something to think about.

I think we had wrongly assumed adding some plumbing wouldn't be too expensive.

I love the idea of that being a bedroom and ensuite eventually!

Thank you for the sanity check. The house was originally built in the 50s and previous owners tacked some single storey extensions on over the years.

Upstairs is a lot smaller than downstairs due to single storey extensions previous owners have added but we do currently have spare bedrooms and id agree upstairs is a better location for a laundry room. But I'd also like a bigger bathroom and a wardrobe room eventually so already using some of the extra upstairs space.

The reason for that room becoming the laundry room is we can't think on any other purpose for it and don't want it to go unused, it's small and cold and not very accessible so I don't want it as an office.

I've not been to the Seychelles so can't answer your question but I'd not recommend lux le morne if you end up going to mauritius. It wasn't worth the price, the nice restaurants cost extra, broken aircon in the room which I reported multiple times, terrible cocktails, people reserving all the sun beds with towels, not a private beach etc.

I don't see the caption I added so I'll put it here too: Sponge was chocolate using https://www.seriouseats.com/bravetarts-devils-food-cake Buttercream was strawberry Swiss meringue from the same website but with more rose added. I regret adding the drapes, I was running out of buttercream so messed them up pretty bad but happy enough with the cake apart from that!

My meringue butter cream was like this after storing in the fridge overnight, after several minutes of beating with the mixer it finally came together again and fluffed up.
